Yes you need a media hub and the adapter unless you already have a 2018

Does anyone know what differences there are between the UAQ and the UCQ....I am in Canada and I am assuming the UCQ is the Canadian variant of the UAQ but are there any specific differences...any reason I should get the UCQ instead of the UAQ?

The USA one AKA uaq has you connect the ucq does not
However it won’t work in either case because it’s not registered to your vin So I would just go with whatever I could get the best deal on

We seem to have had better luck getting the update files to post in MPGrimm's firmware thread for the UAQ. Might make doing updates easier in the future to get a UAQ.

I am looking to do this upgrade here shortly, ordered the new media hub and ordered my wiring harness for M2. While looking at radio units, I found a UAS with model number 68283240AK listed as pulled from 2018 Ram 1500. It comes up it is from a 2018 Jeep Compass when searching model number. I couldn't find any information on this radio in a ram. Any one install one of these yet in their Rams? Will it work with my 2015 1500 and are there any differences between this model and the original ram model radios?

it’s an early model I actually believe that it’s a UAq
It is from a jeep compass
It’s kind of hit and miss if it will work or not it doesn’t have the current ram themes but some people have had luck and some people haven’t

I am not too worried about the themes as I really want the upgrade for the Apple Carplay feature. I would perfer a UAQ model as I couldn't have a 8.4 Nav. My biggest concern is, is it worth the risk to get this radio, I am aware of the possibility of needing the heated seat adapter, but worried about the mount and it reading my BCM correctly.

Yes if you want to get it from the dealer. You can also buy it online without the VIN for about $13 depending on the part number.

Hello guys i need some help i was moving to fast and unplugged the connectors from back of radio without seeing what goes where. Now my Sirrius XM just says contact dealer and my Navigation just says looking for gps signal. I have a teal greenish connector left over any ideas to where it goes to get these two back working see attached pics.

It goes on the mustard yellow plug (SXM/GPS antenna).

Adding to my earlier post, I've found that both the LA084X01-SL02 and LA084X01-SL01 screens work in a 2019 UAS radio. In addition, @Joe Gomez opened up his 2018 UAQ and identified the screen installed as a LA084X01-SL01.

I'm currently testing the LA084X01-SL01 screen in my 2019 UAS to see if it corrects the ghost touch/unresponsive touch issues I am having.

One note, the Aforementioned link on eBay states it is for a LA084X01-SL02 but I received a LA084X01-SL01. Both work but I'll be returning the screen unless they offer me a partial refund as there are cheaper listings for the SL01 screens (some evaluation only models are selling for as low as $70).

I'll post up again for anyone following who may be trying to solve the phantom touch issues with results.

Edit: Screen received below in like new condition with 5 layers of bubble wrap and shipped via Air Mail from China. It took 14 days to deliver.01928867ca0249d3584d9234bd89d304.jpg
Ok, screen replacement appears to have corrected all touchscreen unresponsive/ghost touches.

I reached out to the seller of the screen about the incorrect description for the item they sold me. They were pretty honest and let me know that their profit margin is pretty slim on these but they were willing to offer me a 1 year warranty if the screen stopped working for any reason. I think that's reasonable considering the cheaper SL01 screens appear to be salesmen/evaluation samples (not meant for resale).

In addition, I don't believe my compass issue can be resolved without a firmware update fix. The UAS appears to block the compass heading from going to the EVIC at startup. I can get it to work temporarily by plugging in an RA4 to get the heading back in the EVIC. After that installing the UAS while the vehicle is running let's the radio be on and have the Compass heading displayed properly in the EVIC but as soon as you restart the truck the UAS blocks the heading again. I'm wondering if not having the additional customer menu settings in the radio and/or EVIC is actually what's happening here. I think maybe the radio has the "display compass heading" set to "no" but I don't have access to the menu option.

Currently my fix is to hide the "--" by having something else displayed so I don't see it.

If anyone can think of anything I'm open to ideas.
