I am hoping to have the motor setting in it this week still waiting on a few more parts.

Not sure but long ago i was told RV cams are good for low end torque, true?

I believe you are correct.

BUT I was joking about it having a RV cam because it came out of a RV .

I would bet its the same cam that went in all the 454s in 1990.

If that's a used big block out of a motorhome with 35,000 on it,you're an artist with a spray bomb,lol. Throw a 268 comp cam in it and it'll have a decent idle and will still pull stumps out,lol

Spent alot of time cleaning that sucker and sanding getting it ready to paint.

Motor home had a bad leaking roof that no one ever fixed and it trashed the inside. What a pain to get that motor out though..lol

Still just as beautiful as ever. Glad you had the common sense to keep it. I looked around for a few months and couldn't find anything within 300-400 miles that wasn't overpriced as hell. Went with a 2016 Challenger instead. Just couldn't bring myself to pay $20K for somebody else's hackjob excuse for a resto. Thanks Barrett-Jackson!

How long have you owned the Nova? It looks to be in beautiful shape.I still kick my ass for selling my old 68Z years ago,wasn't the smartest move I ever made,lol.Wife was pregnant and wanted a house so the car had to go,should of sold the wife and kept the car,lol

I bought it on my 19th birthday and am 51 now. It will go to my daughter , it will never be sold..lol

Its not a show car but it is solid and in good shape.
Drag raced it for awhile low 11s high 10s with a 377ci motor. Its going to be driven now .

My first car was a 1968 Chevelle Malibu (4 door, we wont talk about that part

)

Only had the 307 V8 and a 2 speed Powerglide but man that car was fun. Always started on the first crank, the heat could melt the sun (because it didnt have A/C

) and what fun it was going sideways in the snow and rain.

Mine was a 69, and that engine was why I sold it, it didn't have the 350. Now, I miss the simplicity of that car. Open the hood, nothing but space, it would be great these days.

This is sad, my Dad had a 1979 Buick Skylark that he had built up the 350 in it. He sold it years ago, but it would have been amazing to keep it. Wish he still had it.

I ran two bottles of that with my 5w30 PUP. Start up chatter was garbage after +/- 4,00 miles...like to the point I thought it was low on oil a couple of times. Imo, stick with the RL or 0w40 PUP. Maybe it's the type of molly they use or maybe it didnt agree with the PUP 5w30

Year? I love some Chevelles, early 70s. Some one told me to check out the late 60s, then i liked those too!
