Hello gents!

I live in Alaska, so I know a thing, or two about snow and ice build up. The molded OEM guards look great, I just drilled them to help with draining. As far as to get/ not to get, it’s a personal preference. I got mine to protect my truck’s rockers, but JUST AS MUCH to protect other peoples cars from rocks that my 35’s might throw out. We have a huge problem here with guys running with no flaps and cracking other peoples windshields, or damaging paint. I try to be courteous, so for me it works. Anyway, happy wheelin’ and stay safe my friend

Put weather tech no drill on my 2019 2500 and they do a great job keeping the mud off the truck. Easy install in minutes and are molded around factory “guards” so no worry about clear tape. Also they keep the running boards debris free. Bought them as a recommendation from Members of this site. Very happy so far

I made my own white ones out of some white plastic I had laying around. Never had a problem with the power steps deploying in winter and I do not have to wash my truck as often even though I own car washes.IMG_0997.JPG

I can’t convince myself to do mudflaps personally. I don’t dislike them, just do not like that look on my vehicles.

I used WeatherTech mud flaps on my 2006 2500 SLT. Easy to install looked almost new in 2019.
Purchased a new 2018 2500 Tradesman in December. Installed Havoc HS2 black hoop steps rather than
normal looking running boards. Went to WeatherTech website and found that they made no mud flaps for
my Ram since the HS2 hoops were closer that 2" from the fender of the front tires. I live on a dirt road
in Colorado. Driving without mud guards and the steps of the HS2's were filled with mud after a 3 ft snow
storm began to melt.
I found that Husky made a complete set of mud flaps for my truck. LIke WeatherTech, they installed without
drilling. I found the Husky's to tighten down better that the WeataherTech flaps and thus far I am happy with
them. Have to wait for a number of years to see if I actually prefer them, but for now, their fine.
And yes, I would always put on mud flaps if you plan on driving on any kind of dirt road.

Mud flaps are a must to protect your rockers and bottom of rear fenders unless your truck is always on pavement in So. Cal or Az.
We build our own running boards & mud flaps out of 16 gauge satin coat steel, then have them powder coated the truck colour.

I purchase the weather techs last week . and installing after next wash.. simply due to the amount of mess in the garage after snowing .. never had a truck collect so much crap in the rear bumper.. next step floor drain.

Glad to hear. Did you buy the set labeled "2019 RAM Ram 2500/3500 MudFlaps"? For the price and people seem very happy with them and easy install, I may order a set (front and rear) for my 2020 2500 since people say the body hasn't changed from 2019 to 2020. Thanks.

Had weather techs on for less a week, not enough coverage and didn’t like the idea of rubbing on paint. Went with Rokblotz mud flaps, are awesome very tough and come cut to fit over around factory corner protectors. Just may need to trim alittle

No trimming necessary on the Weathertechs, and they come with 3M protective film to ensure no paint rub. Are you sure you got the correct ones?

My truck was a Tradesman and originally did not come with fender flares or mud flaps. I got the flares first and didn't know which style of flaps to go with. I got impatient and bought a set of factor flaps that would fit over the new fender flares from the local Dodge dealer. They look great and have helped cut the side splash on the side of the truck. What I'm not very happy with is the lower end of the flaps seem hollow and allow snow and ice to pack up between the rear of the tires and the flap. The true flat flaps will allow the snow and ice build up to be more easily kicked off the flap when needed.

I've added some before and after pics of the flares and flaps for comparison.

Easy fix for the hollow Mopar mud guards. Read my earlier post on the way I fixed mine.

Yes they were right ones. if they loosen up at all will wear thru 3m quickly and still don’t have much protection compared to a good full mud flap
