So, one of the first things I want to do is add a real horn. Haven't decided if I want a single or multiple trumpet yet. What's the best place to mount, any room inside the grill? Also any suggestions on brand/model? Thanks...

These are the loudest bar none. They even have a kit to replace the spare with a compressor and tanks. These will make those idiots in front of you crap their pants. I don't live too far from them. I have been to their place a heard them. They will make you jump even if you are expecting it.

Which Train Horn? on what series Locomotive
Like Colors, too many possibilities and none the same.
I too am a Expert. Wanna see my Class 1 License?

Why anyone would want something that loud, is beyond me.
Once I retire, I plan on never hearing another one.

DE/DM30 Engine. Don’t need to see your license Lol I have my own from the FRA. Agreed it’s loud, but it comes in handy when the stock horn just won’t do. And I completely I agree once I retire (20 down and 13 to go), I don’t plan on having this truck.....hopefully an HD by then.

The HornBlaster Shocker XLs come in second only to the Nathan Airchime K5LA.

I upgraded my Shockers for the Nathans on my 2008 a Few years ago. I also designed
custom Brackets to mount a York 210 AC Compressor on the Hemi Engine. This also
required a Cold Air kit to replace the Airbox. I have two Aluminum tanks mounted to
the frame rails for 9 gallons of air. The Tanks run a pressure Switch from 165-200PSI.
This kicks on the Selenoid clutch on the York. The Bells are mounted seperately, the three
large ones are Vertical behind the front bumber and the two small bells are behind the grill.

It takes 3 minutes to fill the tanks from 0-200psi at idle. The Viair Electric Comp took
23 Minutes. To refill from 165 to 200psi takes 15 seconds at idle and 8 seconds if I
am driving. The York can put out 9-10 CFM @ 90PSI.

I added a regulated air tool port under the hood and another inside the tool box with
the full 200psi.

I got a set of the refurbished K5LA horns from Realtrainhorns.net for $900.
The York was picked off of a 1973 Mercedes for $37. The Tanks were $110 each.
I used all SS Braided Line and Aircraft fittings for the Plumbing. I need to get a different
Regulator for the horns as I don't get the Volume of air needed to get them to sound
as loud as they can like when I first installed them.

I also installed a Klein ****** 333 Remote to Sound the horns up to 300 ft away.
