Winch hook size? 18 vs 19 Power Wagon

So I got a good deal on a Warn epic hook from a forum member off his 19 Power Wagon. My 18 Power Wagon has the 1/2" hook but the 19's apparently have the 3/8" hook. Why the difference? It's the same winch I believe. The only difference is the synthetic cable. Am I going to have any issues running with this hook?

That hook may not be compatible with your steel cable.

I can’t offer much help on better as far as strength as I this is it only rated for 500 more. But it looks better for sure. The loop on your cable will fit? Or are you getting a rope too?

It fits just fine. And definitely looks better. No rope as of yet.

I guess I was just worried about the strength of the pin since it’s a smaller diameter than the one that came on it

I have not taken it off to measure it. Whatever comes on a 19 is what I have.

it has it stamped right on the hook
