It wouldn’t do anything because that circuit doesn’t exist on our trucks. Each DRL location is simply sending power from the BCM to that light’s wire when the car is put in gear with the lights off. In your case, it’s the turn signal wire. There’s no such SRT light bar wire on a RAM, but there might be on a Durango/Grand Cherokee/charger SRT BCM.

I checked all the settings in Alfa and all are turned on for the rear camera. Still no way to access it in my 8.4. Not sure what to look for. It works fine when I go into reverse but turns off after going into drive. Thanks in advance.

also has anyone found a replacement for the “ashtray” lightbulb in the overhead console? Mine is starting to flicker.

IIRC under Apps there is a rear camera button. If your UConnect s/w is new enough, you can click that button and hold, eventually it will become draggable and you can drag it down to the bottom icons and replace one with the rear camera icon.

Note, though, AFAIK there is no way for it to stay on completely. You can use the quick button like that to access while driving in any gear, but it will only stay on for 5 or 10 seconds, then go back to the normal radio screen.

Yeah mine doesn’t have the rear camera app. I guess it’s not an option for me. ThAnks again

know where I can get a replacement bulb for the “ashtray” light? That’s a tough little guy to find.

I have the 8.4
Any ideas on this one? I don’t see it.

On mine, you go to controls on the 8.4 screen and mine has three options stacked in the center of the screen. The top one is the rear view mirror and I think the bottom one is my camera. I can select the camera and it will be on my display for maybe 30 seconds...I’ve never timed it.

I had the control app but I replaced it with another app thinking it would go into the app menu but it disappeared. Not sure how to get it back.

I have a 2013 Laramie. Does anyone know how to get the rear view camera to appear under my controls screen? It's not there. I'd love to be able to hit the button and view the rear camera when I want to.

This is not an option in your trucks BCM. It wasn't available until 2016.

I’m looking for this elusive baby. Any ideas. Hopefully in red

has anyone done the soft reset on the 8.4 with Nav? I may need to do it to get back the “control” app.

Where did you get that from. Do you actually have a lighted ashtray?

What year is your truck? Someone posted above that this wasn’t an option until 2016.

I have a 2017 1500 Express.
That bulb is the tiny light in the overhead console. I have already changed all my light (inside n out) with LEDs. The interior lights r all red n I would like to change this one to red as well. But I cannot find it.

So it’s called the ambient light bulb. I read elsewhere it was called an ashtray light or a console light. Anyway. Has anyone found a replacement?

Ignorance runs ramped to dealers regarding this subject and your dealer is no different. There are some FCA vehicles that have a rolling PIN but our trucks aren't one of them. At least not yet.
