So I saw the FB uprising leading up to this with the teaser shots, than I lost track of the progress till tonight. What exactly was the worlds issue with this setup exactly? You stuffed big tires with proper offset wheels onto your truck....not for nothing but 37x13.5 toyos have been common place for years....39s were an obvious move imo! Bfg likes to run a touch smallish if anything, bet they fit just right. Is this not overlander enough or some ****....I'm lost on the issue people flipped out about still

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Beats me. I guess I'm challenging conventional wisdom. Not like 38's haven't been done before. I picked these BFG's just for that reason you stated. The joke has always been "Oh you bought 37 inch BFG's; don't you mean 35's?"

I can say I'm running 39's. Which is true. But we all know they aren't that on the truck. It's sort of a gimmick. I wanted to do it.

It's funny, people were telling me the front would rub like crazy and I'd be cutting up my fenders. No one realized the problem is the rear, not the front. Which way does the axle travel in the rear folks? I'm the one cycling the suspension on the truck. Just kind of amusing.

:33:

I still have some tweaking to do. And adjustable control arms for the rear to install. The real test will be in Moab.

Love the setup!

What suspension is on the truck?
Specs on rims?
Front bumper?

This is a Power Wagon; but it's now mostly a Thuren 3-Inch system (which is about the same as a leveled Power Wagon) w/ King 2.5s and custom valving. Synergy Steering, Dethloff/PSC Hydro-Assist. Some other things here and there.

I guess. Though honest to god, I think it's because people genuinely don't know. They read on FB or watch some YouTube video from people claiming their word is gospel. So they just regurgitate what they've read, or heard without actually seeing it. But, alas because it was on the interwebs it's true! I'm glad you did this, and I'm glad you're outspoken about the ********, things have become way too much about making everyone happy, not about facts. I used to be on DTX forums when I had my 3rd gen. That's when Thuren had just started his business and we had all the dudes in the know on there. Don Thuren, Aaron Adelhelit, Carli and CJC offroad, Synergy has reps on board, George from 8 lug Truck, Pure Performance, the CEO of Holman offroad..... the list goes on. It was a great time to be part of the community. I learned alot, and what you preach, is the truth. You would love that site, not sure it's active much anymore.

Yea you have Bfgs, no they don't measure true to size, but in all tires I've ever run, swampers and toyos only really measured true, so that's a moot argument. We could go on and on for days about it, I just enjoy spectating for the most part. Once overlanding took off I kinda stepped out of offroading. My buddies all got into Mt Havoc stuff, like top truck challenge. Hell, our Last trail ride I went on had so many Yota guys, with every piece of gear possible, stacking max tracks on the trail so they didn't hit sliders, simple trails took all day, its like a bunch of new guys maxxed out their credit cards And all they could talk about and do was compare gear. It's great the industry is taking off, but it's frustrating to deal with the people that ask for help or opinion than argue it with you. Like wtf. Keep rocking the boat, I'm gonna stir the pot more.
