I paid 110.00 locally for mine.

Spectre Cold Air Intake New Ram Truck Dodge 1500 for 2011-2015 9934B

A friend of mine just got this one:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-7-V8-Col...ash=item3d4272835a:g:~SoAAOSwi1BZeChh&vxp=mtr

It is almost a 100% knockoff of the spectre down to the air box design

Box seems to seal to the pretty well to the hood. After I clean the bay I'll take another pic of the bottom of the hood

Thank you, that looks good. I've been wanting to order one, I've never seen how they look though

I have a flo master 30 on the truck and it growls real nice on acceleration you can definitely tell a difference

Well, the computer will adjust from the extra air, so you won't gain too much out of it, unless you program it.

What plugs did you use?

I'm looking at the Hemi Fever when I get the funds. damn '15 that needs the computer exchange.

I can't remember the plugs. I'll double check when I get home

Not to thread jack, but has anyone found just the intake tube separately from a whole CAI setup?

The OEM tube is less than optimal for flow, but would there be much benefit with a smooth tube and a quality drop in filter?

I was able to regain about 2mpg after doing the spark plugs and adding a Spectre CAI to my truck. It is a 2015 with 5.7 Hemi and plugs are recommended to be changed every 30k miles.

Prior to plugs: 11.9mpg avg

2.5 hours and 16 burnt plugs later I was done. I can see why the dealership charges so much to do the spark plugs.

After plugs and CAI: 13.9~14.1mpg avg

The CAI for the price and design is not a bad investment. The woot on acceleration is great and I can tell a response difference. Plus def opens up the mufflers (flow master 40) more

**granted the MPG is skewed due to oversize tires and an unadjusted speedometer**

Did you get oem spark plugs? Went to go buy them from the stealership today and they handed me cooper champion plugs. I was under the impression they were changed to ngk iridium after 2013.

my truck is also a 2015 with the 5.7.

Yes you should have NGK iridium in there on a 2015.

I put Champion iridiums in mine because they were on sale for a killer deal and haven't had any issues. Don't see why you'd need to go with NGK as long as you're sticking to the right kind of plug with the right gap.

Anything I read said 30k on the hemi. They were in need of being changed at 65k
It really depends on the year.Earlier ones were 30 k and I believe 14 and up are 100 k.My 15 was 100 k.Shouldn't be mixed up either. The PCM is programmed for one or the other.

After pulling my spark plugs out they were NGK. Went back to the dealer to exchange them, they were closed on Saturday because they are changing owners. I went and bought them from another dealer for $16 each. I have to go back to the first one and return them. Hopefully they don’t charge me the restocking fee since they gave me the wrong plugs.

Damn, $16 per plug? The OEM NGK plugs are only $8 on rockauto. That's an extra $128 just cause it's the dealership.
