Is there a way to always display the current gear? Playing I see if you use the thumb controls and set to 8+ then the current transmission gear will be displayed. I would like to be able to always have the current gear displayed.

I think if you get up to highway speed so the transmission is in it's highest gear (8th gear) and then tap the Gear minus button on the steering wheel, the current gear will be displayed all the time, enabling you to see the gear changes as mph changes.

If you tap the Gear minus gear when you are in something other than 8th gear it will "lock in" to that gear and not go any higher. Could be a problem if you have it locked into 4th gear, say, and you go on the freeway.

New guy here. I would also like to view current gear. What is cts2?
What they are referring to is the Edge Tuner named the Evolution CTS2 or the Insight CTS2. Check out some of the vendors here on the forum and or check out the Edge website to see what they have available for your particular year model.

If you have the LCD gauge cluster 2013+ and you manually select the highest gear the transmission will shift normally through the gears and display the current gear next to the highest gear on the gauge cluster.
If you have the base cluster it will only show the gear you have selected to limit to.

Not sure about others, but I can push the + or - and get the current gear. From there, you can manually shift using the + or - and if you hold either one down for a few seconds, it will release manual and go back to auto shift. I used it constantly pulling my TT from East to West and back for over 11,000 miles this summer and it worked like a champ.
