Those look like good terms, maybe I will have to look into the lease then buy option to keep payments down if I ever forgive Ram for that hemi tick.

Are you leaning toward leaving the brand? Lots of options out there these days for sure.

I'm not really a Chrysler guy, but I do really enjoy my Ram. I don't see me buying any new vehicle these days. I think someone would be better off getting an older one and fixing it up. I still hope I keep this ram another decade, then who knows.

To each his own, but the days of me fixing up some one else's old junk are over.

As long as you have a LSD, 3.92, everything else is just a detail.

Dude that thing is so sweet it makes me want to get a new hemi before they don't have them anymore. But I aint doing it, I am not taken another chance in this tick tarded ****.

But I gotta say that is a beautiful ride, keep good oil and synthetic filters on that puppy.

What was the damage out the door if you don't mind say'n?

Congrats, Burla

Do what I did, get the lifetime warranty. Got my Added care for just over 2200. I sleep fine at night with that under my pillow.

This is a great thread. I replaced the fuel injector on cylinder 8 P0308 code On auto zone computer specifically called out the fuel Injector. Well need less to say It didn't fix the problem and I then swapped the coil and plugs to no avail. Then I found this thread. She is in the shop now waiting for the diagnosis but from the symptoms I'm confident this is the same issue 2012 5.7L Hemi. Fortunately I did purchase a lifetime warranty from Chrysler at time of purchase. Now I wait to see if they try to shaft me on the warranty coverage. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread.

Just to Update you all. My engine is being replaced right now under the lifetime warranty I purchased in 2012.

Glad to hear you have the Maxcare lifetime warranty! [emoji3] Curious what oil/filters you have been using in your truck? And what your OCI’s have been?

Given all of the issues with the Hemis I switched over to Amsoil 5w30 on my last oil change. It quieted down the Hemi quite a bit overall in so far as valvetrain noise is concerned. I’m due for my next oil change now and am sticking with the Amsoil 5w30 Signature Seriee oil and synthetic filter. I’ve got about 27.5k miles on the odo to date.

2018 PW having the same type of problem, 7 cylinder throwing a misfire code, but the truck is also chirping through the steering and idling extremely rough. Everything was fine, took it for a trip and toward the end of the trip the motor started ticking. Got the oil changed, helped the ticking but the rough/shutter type vibration has increased. It almost feels like a motor mount. Checked the exhaust bolts (known problem) but they all look good, u-joints too...

Changing coil and spark plugs tomorrow, hoping to get it home so I can troubleshoot appropriately, or go to the dealership (dooooh!)
