transmission shudder on accel from 30-40 mph

11 2500 5.7 41,000 miles have heard noise like a growl since i got truck last year it’s really noisy when converter locks up
when i was driving home from work sat i went to pass a car was doing 35 ish truck shuddered pretty bad felt like slipping
drove next day to see if it did again
same thing between 30 and 40 mph if i hit gas truck shudders
any ideas ?
i’m thinking converter or possible front pump?

I might be way off... Drive shaft - u joint?

u joints r like new middle carrier bearing 6months old
i would think if drive shaft problem it would be at all speeds

Good call...

How about
- Stuck or grabbing brake rotor
- Bad tire
- Poor tire balance
- Low air pressure
- Mud inside wheels

Next list I'd make won't be pleasant... Tranny - Torque Convertor... Broken lose motor mount.

I know, the last bit is far fetched. Just working it aloud.

all those things on that list i would think would be causing issue all time versus just on accel between 30-40

well it finally got so bad truck was almost undriveable when cold bad shudder on accel and a drone when converter locked up. Took in they found torque converter bad leaking fluid back into trans they said
put new converter in. All the noises and shifting issues i’ve had since i got truck are now GONE
