Oh they are (Infotainment). They overplayed their hand on the 12” screen though. They are selling the 12” upgrade for $4000. You can find the radio module, 12” screen with entire bezel, and the LDVS cable for $1500 all day long. When guys first started swapping them in just plug n play, the volume and tune knobs wouldn’t work. They made a Genie for the kit that solved that problem, so basically, $2500 of that kit is for that genie. Now that it was figured out with AlfaOBD, there’s no need for that genie anymore.
Keep in mind that the 12” screen needs the separate radio module, also, and it is a different part number than the radio module for the 8.4 display that I posted earlier.
I am wondering if we should start a new thread for installing these radios with the separate radio module / screen? Jimmy07 is posting a lot of good information that may get lost or overlooked in a UAQ / UAS titled thread. Several folks, including myself, are getting interested in this so more information and experiments will surely be forthcoming.

For those that have replaced their BCM, is this a plug-n-play swap without a need to go to the dealer? My Autel has a "BCM replaced" function in the RFH menu but I'm certain what it does. I've found a BCM from a 2017 that's exactly the same except it was a 4x2. Could that cause any issues? TIA

Since installing my 2018 8.4 UAQ my wife has noticed that when I have the temperature set via the radio to the lowest setting it's cool but not really cold unless I turn on MaxAC. Is this a known issue? I installed the climate module behind the glove box and it does work but not as cold as I think it should be at what appears to be the lowest setting. Thanks for any insight.

A lot of people need to upgrade to the automatic temperature Control to cure this issue
Also known as a Atc You need the
Sensor and the wiring harness
And if you have a 1500 you also need the humidity sensor

do you think they could’ve cheap doubt and just use the rearview mirror camera and only I had the cargo cam hooked to the radio

Did you install the ATC wiring with it?

Apparently not. I installed but what it came with which I thought was just the module behind the glovebox and that is plugged in to the new bezel but I will check the link you reference thanks.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I believe my BCM is corrupt since using AutoEnginuity. The dealer has flashed it 3 times and all settings will not go back to stock. Refer to my Post #1946 & Post #1877

Mine does this , visually it looks like I’m at bottom of the blue but I have to keep hitting down until I can feel the cold , hitting max ac I think does it for you . This is why I’m upgrading to the auto ac .

Shoot me a PM with price and the VIN it came from if you have it. I'm concerned that it was for a manual but maybe that doesn't matter.

Yep me too. I feel stupid for not realizing I was going to have to do the ATC conversion after the upgrade I'm sure it was mentioned somewhere and I just missed it. That's fine adding the 8.4 NAV unit with Carplay for me at least has been a game changer it's expensive but totally worth it especially since I got the truck for such a great price to start with.
Yep It was mentioned I did see it but forget honestly .
Have a order in for the harness , already have the sensor .

So is all you need to do to get it to full hot or full cold just hold it a little longer (as opposed to doing the ATC upgrade)?

Yea hat seemed to work for me , at bottom of blue I had on ac and thought man this isn’t cold at all kept pushing on down like 15 more times and it got really cold . So I assume that’s the case for warm as well .
