Hahaha... it's in such demand, we just can;t let it go for less than 30K :)
Oddly enough the same dealer that has 4 brand new 2018 gc limited has a brand new 2016 (!!!) Challenger Hellcat in plum crazy purple. Priced at original MSRP plus 10k markup because of the color!

So, clearly they like to pay fca for the vehicles and then not sell them I guess.

Yep.

I think they are a mom and pop dealer, so maybe they just like to "not sell" the cars so they can keep them for themselves (eventually), but a Hellcat is a pretty hefty expense to just leave hanging around.

Their parking lot is tiny, but they have a massive storage pen about a mile down the street. I just dont understand the business model....they are high value models that would probably have gotten far more $$$ when they were "new new" than like now "new old stock", even if they are already paid off.

Maybe they're buying leftover stock from other dealers for less than they would from the factory because they're more willing to wait on them selling than a volume dealership?

We've done that with RVs at our dealership a few times, it pays off if you're willing to be patient on finding the right buyer.

I remember back in the day one dealership had a Plymouth Prowler for like $25,000 over sticker, and it was literally on their showroom floor for like 7 years.

Ive actually run a few of the VINs through the window sticker generator and they were all delivered to our dealer. its really odd IMHO, but I see vehicles with their stickers and license plate frames on them all around here, so they are selling some things for sure!

Wiggy, unless this is an actual dealer you can verify, be cautious. When I was looking for a truck last year, I found listings on autotrader that were a total scam. It also said the truck would be shipped to me to test, but they wanted the full $20k price paid in advance. I pressed and pressed to go see the truck. Being in Ontario they said the truck was in Newfoundland and would ship to me by a carrier. I offered to fly there to see the truck, buy it, and drive it home. Still declined. I investigated further to find and address for the named business and found the address was for a closed milk factory in St John's NFLD. There was also an address for the same name in Ireland and several other countries. This scam of getting money upfront and never a hope to see a truck is big business. I reported my findings to autotrader and RCMP detachment in St John's. The ad was down within a week. the scammers were just trying to get many people to send them $20,000 for a truck that didn't even exist for sale.

I am considering giving a REALLY low offer on a 2017 SXT..has no km's but has been sitting for years obviously. But...6 -speed,black, 3.92 gears.hmmm. Does have the hemi and a couple of options. Thinking of trying $20,000 Canadian... Worth it? Not sure. Would be via emial, phone etc.. they will deliver it for a test drive.

Good deal?
Don’t walk in offering cash do that at the end or pay it off when you want

I've dealt with this dealership for years. They have actually been very good - shocking, I know :) I couldn't find it on their lot, so it's in their storage compound. The COVID-19 stuff has changed their policies for buying or test-driving. Thanks for the warning though!
