Transmission woes

I have a new to me 2015 Ram 3500 diesel. The truck drive fine but no reverse. My question is where can I find info the Drivers Information Display (see picture)? The truck symbol on the display that has a white underlined triangle and the shifter is in reverse. I changed the fluid (smelled burnt and dark red looking) and filter.

I'd say it is likely in valve body/solenoid, the Cummins is a beast, tears rfe's to pieces. My brother went through three before he swapped trucks to a manual, since then he has been fine. But, he never went through VB, he might have saved his truck if he had. Look at gm solenoid upgrade, plate, tune for line pressure, and new springs and pistons. Once you do that, it will protect clutch packs much better. I guess you need to decide, do you go allin and upgrade to a sun coast tranny, or go through VB and hope it is enough. These vids might help you answer that question. For me, the question would be how hard do you run that 3500? If you tow a lot and heavy and use it for business, I'd go full sun coast. watch those vids, timely but interesting and will tell you all you need to know...

Does your 3500 have the 68rfe or AISIN transmission?

In 2015 they rear ParkSense was just to tell you how close you were getting to something, it is not linked to the braking.

Thought it might be a malfunction in the system that won't let you open the door and backup at the same time. If that was even a thing in 15. Mine (16) wasn't but the update covered it.

Don't know if its slipping, or just won't let truck reverse.

The Auto-Park when the door is open is only on the ZF 8spd transmissions as they are electronically shifted, the RFE68 and AISIN transmissions are mechanically shifted.

Just was hoping it was something simple, hate to hear people with expensive issues.

I hate auto park with a passion.
