So I got everything installed in my 2018 SLT Last night. Keyless Enter and Go all at the same time. I put the Antennas in the B pillars. Everything works. Keys programmed on the first try. No lights or issues. Seems I have to get really close to the truck for the key to register. If the key is in my pocket, I have to put that pocket next to the truck. So I may have to move the antennas. I had zero experience with crimping the pins or pinning connectors, but with the help of this thread I got it all up and take care of with minimal issue.

Anyone know if there is any sort of diagnostic to be sure all the antennas are functioning properly?

Did anyone ever find a source on the Rear proximity handles?

I don't think they ever came up with a source for the rear proximity handles since it was never an option on the Ram. Obviouslyyou could just install the right front passenger handle in the rear door but you would have to modify the drivers side to eliminate the key hole or install a plug and paint it. . I know some guys had issues with the antennas not working correctly depending on where they installed them in the B pillars. We did several trucks but installed the proximity antennas in the factory location in the rear doors on all the trucks we did and didn't have any issues at all. They pick up the key from pretty much any place you can reach the handle. If you don't want to install them in the rear doors you may want to try moving them in the B pillar until they pick up the fob better.

I used the b-pillar for my "door" antennae. Works OK...I think the key would be to get them up, height wise, as close as you can to the front door handle height.

Mine suffers from range issues if I have my fob near my cell phone, but that seems to have nothing to do with where I located the antenna (@Jimmy07 mentioned the same issue and his are in the stock door locations)

Someday I might move them where they belong, but as long as my fob is not near my cell phone I get plenty of range to be stretched out and opening the door....maybe my arms are just short :)

Just in case anyone is looking to kick their project off, I placed my parts order in last weekend and it looks like the rf hub is on national backorder but should see movement in a few days. I ordered a set of body color door handles (brilliant black) and they were all in stock with the exception of the front passenger keyless go handle - that is also on national backorder with no ETA (some vendors have said a couple weeks so I'm staying hopeful).

Earlier in this thread I think we joked about the bean counters at FCA wondering why the hell all of a sudden everyone needs new RF hubs

:)

So I’ve tried to order the RF hub
68319680AE from three places. All orders were canceled by the companies due to no eta on part availability. Any one know of another RF hub option?

did you place an order with allmoparparts? Mine has been with them for a few days now. I reached out to Benny about availability and he said ~3 week delay; local dealer said the same.

I keep my key in the same pocket as my phone, so Ill try changing it up. I had a 1500 with Keyless Enter N Go factory equipped before my current truck, but current truck is about a foot taller now that you mention it :anitoof:

Looks like my rf hub just shipped, so the backorder wasn't too deep. Looking forward to getting the install done, I just finished cutting and twisting my wires, and need to start crimping the connectors on.

Okay so finally got my hub. Install went smooth. Push start and remote start working thanks to this thread. Now I just have to buy the handles and I’ll be set.

Finished the first phase of my install too. Door handles probably next weekend.

I bought the crimping tool from the first post and it was fine for the antenna connectors, but i had to redo my C2 connector crimps a few times. I bought this tool and found it does a much better job of crimping - you can do the conductor and wire insualtion crimps in seperate operations which helps improve the consistency of crimps.

I bought a few, gotta look how many I have left but should still have some extras. Not sure how much shipping from Alberta to Alaska would be though.

I'm getting that Part# 56046958AA for the In Cab Antennas doesn't fit my 2018 RAM Laramie 2500 ?

Also, I know that the OEM Fobs are more $$ but does anyone know the correct PN for them ?

Good evening gentlemen, I have a 2020 Rebel, and I overlooked the fact that Keyless didn’t include passive entry like many. So where do I start in order to add this? I already have keyless remote start, just need list of parts and install for passive entry. Thanks for the help

I have the same question as Ram above.

Purchased a 2020 Bighorn and was naive in ASSUMING that remote keyless entry meant the KEYLESS ENTER-N-GO option and I would like to add this feature but I am not a technical GURU as most in here appear to be. I could get it done but I dont feel confident understanding everything I need

I have the remote entry and push-button/remote START factory installed, but just want to not have to break out my FOB every time I need to get in.
