Hello everyone I am new to this forum with my 2011 ram 2500 6.7 mega cab 4x4 with the auto but I am having a hard time trying to find one connector for my transfer case after the double ujoint going to the front driveshaft locked up and then decided to unlock at about 75 mph and spin around rip wires fuel lines and brake lines loose my local dealership has said that the harness is no longer offered through dodge/ram... I have all the other connectors and repaired wiring all the way back to the transfer case shift motor but the connector was damaged beyond repair and I cannot locate the connector... and the bad part is no local junkyards have these trucks I’ve been all over Mississippi looking and no luck I’m wondering if anyone has ever had this issue or knows where I could get the connector or the part number for the pigtail.

I honestly can’t remember the truck is sitting at the transmission shop since February and the shop hasn’t been able to find the connector I’m trying to help them out to get my truck back going...

Can’t the shop install the TC and just leave it in 2 Hi to get you back on the road until the part is found?
^^^^^^^^^^^^
I dont see why they couldn't do this until you find a wreck or something with a connector.

I am curious if the front driveshaft joint that caused all this had ever been lubed?

This transfer case was designed and built by New Process Gear in Syracuse NY. When we were bought out by Magna international about 6 years later they moved all of the manufacturing to Mexico because the workers who built the best Transfer Case in the world for GM, Ford and Chrysler refused to take a $15.00 and hour pay cut. When Magna announced the move Chrysler informed Magna that they will no longer be building transfer cases for Chrysler. Ford soon followed after their contract ended. GM is the only one left in Mexico and I first hand can tell you of the horror stories that went on trying to launch GM in Mexico. I retired a manufacturing engineer at New Process Gear and transfer cases was one of my products. One of the guys that worked at the plant for over 20 years that worked in quality control and road tested these units opened a Transfer Case rebuilding shop called North Country Gear here in up state NY. He recently move his family and shop to Florida where he is back up and running. He has everything for transfer cases for GM, Ford and Chrysler. His name is Ed and he can be reached at 315-559-5877. Give Ed a call I'm sure he has what you need.

It's resources like 68 Coronet R/T that makes this site excellent. On a side note, at one time in a long ago life, I owned a 67 Coronet R/T w/the 426
Hemi. Bought it for the R/T designation as that is my initials. The engine
was second. Dark greet, black vinyl top, gold interior, 150MPH Speedo. Sold
it for a Chevy. ????? Youth works in many stupid ways. Memories are
golden....

Captainronpo614, posting #17, I was your newest fan right up until you admitted to selling your hemi for a Chevy! What were you thinking?
