The hose that comes with the Yamaha is 30', and seems to be a quality hose, and of course "stiff". I have picked up a 50' hose, which is a little more flexible. When Spring gets here, I will be giving the 50' hose some use.

I have had a gas powered pressure washer for years. However a year ago I bought an electric washer to wash my vehicles and use a foam cannon. The electric is much easier to use, very quiet and has plenty of power. I haven't used my gas washer since.

Ok, so after using the Greenworks 1700psi Pressure Washer from Lowes, I'd say if you want to spend less then $100 right now, go buy one. It even comes with a detergeant applicator bottle that worked marvelous when I shot some Chemical Guys Gloss Workz wash on my truck today.

I've got that same power washer. Used it today to wash the truck. Used it first with just water to get the majority of crap off, then during my wash cycle to rinse the truck. Works fine for my limited use.

I have a lot of hose so I can leave the pressure washer in another zip code. It's nice to not have to haul it up stairs to do my decks and not have it next to me because it is noisy.

Holy cow!!! I thought CheechDogg was kidding. That seems like a ridiculous price for an electric pressure washer of fairly average specs. I guess since it is made in Italy it is the Ferrari of pressure washers.

Whatever you get, know what you're planning on using it for. If you're just washing the mud off a truck do not go more than 2700-3000 PSI or you'll peel the paint if you get too close. For oil on driveway and heavy duty stuff, yes get a bigger one. Actually if you can afford it and have room get a smaller one for truck wash and a larger one for driveways etc. I have a no name Honda 5 horse with 4 or 5 tips so I can change out dep on what the use. Works fine.

Do you have anything with a three point and PTO? I purchased this one from Northern Tool a few years ago. Rated at 5000 pounds but I can adjust the pressure with a regulator on the pump or by limiting the tractor RPM. It's great for the driveway or washing vehicles. I spend a lot of time on back roads so, it gets used often.

Used to buy a lot of those where I worked, for hard use. Honda engines, Cat brand pump. Whose name was on the crate wasn’t really important.

For my personal use I got one from Northern Tool meeting those specs probably 15 years ago, never a hiccup.

I have a Honda with CAT pump bought new 12 years ago it gets used for every thing still going strong!!!

Honda engine, CAT pump, 3000 psi, Northern Tool. Lasting over 10 years and counting. Only had to replace gas tank that rusted out due to old age. Also got a Duschian foam cannon with extra trigger handle and 5 tips much cheaper than Chemical Guys.

I have a gas powered pressure washer but don't use it on my vehicles as it can be a little harsh. However my son in law really likes his electric powered spray washer and has a foamer attachment that really puts a thick layer of foam on his truck to loosen the grime. Its a pretty cool accessory and the electric washer won't hurt the paint like a high pressure gas unit. I have just used the long handled brush that connects to the garden hose and that works good enough for me.

I have the greenworks 2000 psi washer from Lowe’s, got it on sale for $150 and it works great! Nice quiet, works great and you don’t smell like exhaust fumes afterwards. I’ll never own a gas one.

If you plan on doing things around the house... gas for more pressure.

If your just strictly looking for something just to wash vehicles...electric ftw. No cranking, quiet, easy to carry and drag, takes hardly any side to store. Used my Ryobi today couldn’t be any happier washed both my vehicles rather quick.
