Ebay sellers looks like a way, but $18 for a filter and $26 for shipping and tax on that. will find a better way or go FRAM Ultra XG10060 from Rockauto

How many do you need and what could shipping be to where you are?

Give me an address and I’ll look at cost. Then I just go buy some and ship them to you.

Question for everyone:

What should you do if you think your motor oil has Corona Virus?

Propoxylated, Aminated versus polyetheramine better known as PEA. So the clear bottle was old Amsoil that was a PEA additive, the new bottle late 2018 not only changed packaging but the formula to 25-50% Propoxylated, Aminated which seems to be an alcohol. How about you amsoil guys get some info from amsoil inc and see what's the deal on this?

That additive seems to also be in their new cheap UCL.

I wouldn't over think it. Moving to an Alcohol makes it more water soluble which does help many of the additive packs work well with ethanol blends to remove water as well as clean. As more and more parts of the country move to E10-E15 you'll want what ever additive you're using to be able to pull water out so I'd consider it a win.

If there is already alcohol in my gas at 10% and it is 2.55 a gallon, why would I spend 14 dollars for an additive that will put more alcohol in it? I'm sure there will be some "reason", but regardless amsoil PI is no longer a PEA additive. Fuel System Cleaners.

What might be at play is something we see in oil formulas as well, a fuel additive more for DI Turbo's than a hemi, perhaps that is why Amsoil changed PI. Perhaps PEA is too effective at cleaning the combustion chamber?

Something we should consider. So if you look at the new PI it makes sense from Amsoil to have a cleaner more for injectors then combustion chamber, now they "say" it cleans combustion chamber as well, I will let you create your own judgement on that. We seen oils built for DI turbo's, why would we not think other formulas will change to accommodate that? I do wish they would keep the PEA additive and just create an additive just for DI turbo's, but that was not their play.

Newer Marketing from Amsoil...

Removes Fuel Injector Deposits
Most new engines feature gasoline direct-injection (GDI) to boost power and improve fuel economy. These injectors are located inside the intense heat and pressure environment of the combustion chamber, making them particularly vulnerable to deposits. Extreme pressure combined with incomplete fuel combustion can lead to dramatically increased soot (particulate matter) levels. Direct injection typically creates 30 to 40 times more soot than port fuel injectors (PFI). Even a minimal amount of injector fouling can lead to increased pollution and wear and decreased power and fuel economy.

Some new warnings, clearly this boosts alcohol levels..

  • Safe for use with catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, oxygenated gas and up to 15 percent ethanol blended gas.
  • Do not use with diesel or E85 fuel or two-stroke engines.

With diesel fuel, you don't want an additive that absorbs the water and takes it with it into fuel system. HPFP nowadays are pushing 30K psi, definitely don't want water going through them.
Use additives that have demulsifiers that help drive moisture out of the fuel so the water separator can expel the water.

I posted that section to see the other two warnings besides the diesel warning, yes diesel additives and completely different then gasoline additives. I believe companies like redline, amsoil, gumout and others make a fuel cleaner for diesel and none of them have PEA. I often wonder why wouldn't PEA help rigs like it does gas engines, dunno.

amsoil diesel all in one- As you said, not the same alcohol additive as in their new PI formula.

Synthetic oil is the fake post name for this thread. The real name of this thread is squirrel.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

Awe, see PCT someone who actually read the thread knows why it was so popular. Love for the squirrel.
