My Bighorn 2500 Hd didn’t come with a power seat so did some measurements on a friends 2018 1500 and they are the same bolt holes as a 2500 . Purchase a 1500 power seat with heat that was cloth from a 16 1500 and everything bolts right in did change my Katzkins leather over to the power seat and had to change air bag also other wise pretty straight forward swap . Just some information in case anyone was wanting to do this.

The wiring for the 13 to 18 seats is the same. Certain truck are pre wired for certain options depending on their trim level. Express/Tradesman trucks have the basic wiring. None of the power options like power adjust, heat, vent, heated wheel, or memory will work without adding the correct wiring. SLT trim level trucks are a crap shoot some have the correct wiring for heated/vented power seats and heated wheel but most don't. Rule of thumb is if you have an SLT with power seats you you should have all the other wiring for heat and vent plus heated wheel. Bighorns have all the necessary wiring for power adjust, heated, ventilated seats and heated wheel. Most do not have the wiring for memory seats. All of these options can be added to Any 4th gen truck by installing the correct wiring and enabling the codes in the BCM with the Alfa tool. Many including myself have added the Laramie seats to our trucks and installed the wiring and codes There are no codes needed for the power adjust to work. If your truck has a solid red wire and a black wire in the drivers side yellow seat connector the power adjust will work. If it doesn't have that wiring all you need to do is run a constant 12v fused power source to the solid red wire in the yellow seat connector.

Good to know. Thank you. I might look into adding a power seat to the passenger side of my 19 Lone Star. I have heated seats and Katzkin covers too, so any right side power bucket seat from a 19 or 20 salvage truck could work.

I would think so,, on the 14-18 seats I had to move the airbag pins and seat belt pins in the yellow plug under drivers seat to different locations to match the yellow plug that comes from under carpet Now to see if I can activate the heated seats when I get the new temp bezel

The dumbest thing I’ve seen FCA to date is to offer the Lone Star/Big Horn models without the power passenger seat option. Many of us are married to women who need that electric seat to get them up to where the sun visor is effective. I would have paid an extra $800 to $1000 just to have a power passenger seat. Take notice FCA, even Ford has a standard power passenger seat on their XLTs...your missing out on charging for an option many us would take as as the wife would be holding a gun to our head telling us to pay for the option.

You cannot change to dual zone ATC by just installing the bezel.
You can upgrade your truck to a Single Zone ATC by adding the correct wiring and sensors and enabling the Single Zone ATC code with the Alfa tool. You have to have the 8.4" radio for Single Zone ATC. M2mods who is a vendor on this forum makes a harness for this. If you really want to go all the way to a Dual Zone ATC it can be done but it's more extensive. You would need to add all the sensors and wiring and enable the Dual Zone ATC with the Alfa tool plus replace the HVAC box which requires removing the dash. You also need to do the full 8 4" radio upgrade if your truck isn't already equiped with it. M2mods slso makes a harness for this. I've converted my truck from a Single Zone MTC to a Dual Zone ATC and it works great. There are instructions for both upgrades in the 4th gen DIY section.

The seat options are my biggest disappointment. No power right side seat, no leather, no reclining rear seat. Seriously looked at a Laramie just for the seats but decided the extra $$ just wasn’t worth it to me. A Laramie was running about 5K more than what I bought. Spent 1k on the Katzkin covers so I spent 4K less and gave up the power right and reclining rear seats.

Amen! To hell with the Laramie badge, leather and I can live without reclining rear seats but the screaming from the front right seat is deafening without power adjustments. She is perfectly happy with power cloth seats and prefers them because they are more comfortable than leather (in her opinion).

We all must do we must do. My co-pilot preferred the leather over power. We have a 2012 Journey with cloth in the family. Going to do some swapping amongst us and co-pilot will end up with the Journey. She’s wanting to put Katzkins in it. She drives 12 miles a day round trip to her office and back, all residential streets. But she wants the leather so.......:emotions133:
