2005 dodge 1500 ram quad cab with the 5.7 Hemi. I want to add something like the pedal commander to my truck (to fix dead pedal issue) however I only see 2007 and up offerings, are the pedal electronics different between (different plug configuration) these years? Are the 05's not a computer operated system??? Thanks for any information you can supply. I would like to pull the trigger on something soon. Thanks again.

The 2005 HEMI throttle bodies are drive-by-wire and the pedals are all APP Sensors (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor)

The throttle bodies are the same part number for the 2005 and the 2007

Based on the information I can find tonight, the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (gas pedal) is the same part number for the 2005 and the 2007

That looks like a pretty expensive fix. Is there any other solution for a spongy gas peddle?

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with 4.7L. Based on the pedal commander website, PC30 is the model that is the match for my make and model truck. However, when I look under the dashboard, where the gas pedal is located, I couldn't find the harness that I need to disconnect in order to connect the PC unit. I have attached a pic to illustrate. Any help from this forum would be greatly appreciated.IMG_4160.jpg

LMAO....
1. Normally a thread this old you don't add to it, just start a new one
2. I take it you aren't a mechanic nor are familiar with your truck at all, as the 4.7 has a cable throttle body until 2008. I mean, you can actually see the cable at the top of the pedal arm. A pedal commander is absolutely worthless to you in this vehicle.
3. Not even sure how you came up with the PC30 being for your particular truck (besides the whole cable TB thing). The website shows it being for 05-06 LX (300, Charger, Magnum) and Grand Cherokee w/hemi (because fly-by-wire).
