I tried searching and couldnt really find anything on this...

I have a 2017 Dodge ram 1500 diesel crewcab.

Does anyone elses bluetooth phone call give priority to the person you are on the line with??

If they talk and I talk at the same, they literally do not hear me. My voice does not go through, the microphone does not pick up my voice if they are talking. So basically I always have to wait until they finish talking before I can talk. We cant talk back and forth or if i need to stop them because like "hold on" or something, or if i want to interrupt them...I cant.

Worst of all, imagine arguing with your girlfriend. I wanna kill myself.

When I took it to the dealership they basically said thats how the car is but i find that really hard to believe!

Sort of, except it only applies to me. If I talk they can speak over me. But as soon as they start talking, as in if they interrupt me, im no longer heard. Basically they can shut me up any time. They have voice priority over me.

Yeah I mentioned it to them and they basically said they cant do anything about it but I was very passive about it. Ill have to go back for solely that purpose and demand something be done.

What phone are you having this issue with? It's possible this caused by some setting on the phone itself. Have you tried to delete the Bluetooth pairings on the phone and radio, then re-pair them?

It could definitely be your phone, I had a older Motorola that used to do that. Try pairing someone else's phone with your radio and see if the problem persists.

Must be your phone, I can talk over the other person, and vice-versa. But the automated female voice on my Uconnect sounds like it has a cold, or has been drinking

Hmm good idea I haven't tried any other phones. I do have another car with bluetooth though and it does not do that.

Ok what about this guys...does your radio come on when you fire up the car in the morning even though you had it turned off? I know there isnt a real turn off, its kind of a "mute". But if i was blasting music the previous night and parked the car and turned the radio "off", when i fire it up the following morning it scares me half to death when it just plays on the same loud volume that i had the previous night, even though i clicked the button to turn off/mute it. So i have to spin the volume to zero instead, so that when it does come on in the morning the volume is zero anyway.

And one more thing...do you have to click your air recycle button on the AC/heater after every time you turn the car off and back on? Doesn't seem to remember that it was clicked ON and the default is always OFF, so I end up noticing it only after i breathe in the smell of a catless car or a sewer or some other scent that it allows into the vehicle.

Your question about the radio... Yes it comes back on at the previous volume even if you pause it. I've gotten into the habit of turning it down before I exit the truck.

As far as the recycle button, I'm sitting in my truck now getting ready to head into work and I just tried it. It seems to stay on when I turn the truck off and restart it. I even opened my door to turn everything off. I guess the real test will be when I leave work after the truck sits all day.

The mute on the radio is just for a temporary mute, say if you're at a drive-thru or something. If you don't want it to come on in the morning blasting like when you were rocking out the night before, you need to turn the volume down when you turn off your truck.

At the end of the day when I got back in my truck to leave the vent came back on automatically but the recycle was off. So I guess after a while it'll turn off.

Will do. Thanks!

Thanks! So volume and recycle is normal. Good to know its just the bluetooth.
