Paperwork was finally squared away so I could get my plates. Montana has a plethora to choose from. Naturally I had to get the B&C ones that display a rams head. A little significant for me as I own a RAM and was fortunate to harvest a desert bighorn ram that qualified for B&C.

If you look real close on the rear bumper you can see the traction tape I put on the bumper. Got the idea from here on the forum I can't recall who posted the idea to give proper credit. As you can see in the pics, stuff gets wet, cold, and slippery here in Montana.

Plates tell a great story. Can we get a pic of that ram?

Nice! That Delmonico Red is a GREAT color... Love the plates and Grip tape idea. And congrats on that B&C Ram you had the honor to take. Beautiful animal.

I was in shock when I found out I drew that tag. Only two tags for that unit and I got one!

I am thinking with the heat coming, I will yank off the vinyl tape off the "B" pillars and the RAM letters off the doors. Next week will be the Diamondback cover!

Today was the Diamondback cover and RAM license plate frame.

Just as an update (7.28.20) With the Diamondback bin under the cover, I was getting some bin movement and rattling/metallic noise. I remedied this by adding two self-tapping screws to each side of the bin. Problem solved!

Looks super sharp! Colors look great together. Love the background. If that’s your front yard, you’re very fortunate.

It is. We have turkey, deer, black bear, and moose that come visit. The elk stay about 1/2 mile away.

That was probably this guy <—

Not that I believe I’m the first, only that I haven’t seen others post it before. I thought it was a super simple mod, and well worth it since I don’t have a true tailgate anymore.

Great looking truck! Delmonico Red is my favorite color. I actually ordered mine in that color, but switched to flame at the last minute. I preferred the high contrast over the pearl coat, but damn does that pearl shine when it’s clean! Now that I just have a clear coat paint, I don’t cry as much when I drag branches down the sides! Lol

I believe you are correct. Thanks for the idea!

Keeping it clean is a chore, especially living on a dirt road and the dang pine trees are dropping yellow pollen dust everywhere.

I’ve been out to MT many times to fish. I would go look for back water to fish like West Boulder, Shields and Mussell Shell. You can’t keep a truck clean out there. Half the state is dusty dirt roads! Would have love to have been in a PW out there instead of an economy rental.

K&N drop-in air filter today along with some LED road flares.

ges-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F812u7RtjFfL._SL1500_.jpg

My initial assessment of the road flares are positive. I have always used the ones that you light and they burn for 15 or 30 minutes. These run longer and I don't have to worry about starting a wildfire. I don't anticipate needing the flares for the PW but there have been more than a few times I roll up on someone who has plastered a deer or elk and they are stopped in the middle of the road, usually happens when I am on the way to do some hunting. The only negative is they are made in Communist China.

Next mod will probably be the Undercover Swing case which I will do next week.

At some point I need to get a tailgate seal kit to keep the dust out. The Diamondback has made it waterproof thus far.
