I finally got around to replacing my tailgate protector/spoiler (whatever you wanna call it) after ripping and cracking the left side of it after a dump run. I Stumbled upon this replacement from Geno's Garage on here and i was a little skeptical, because it covers more than the OEM design. But I'm impressed with how good it looks and the plastic seems to be a lot harder than the OEM. Hardest part was trimming down the spray in liner and edge of the protector to have a flush fit. It's impossible to save the old protector, the clips always break as you pull it off but it was already broken anyway. What do you think?abe009fcfed9b91dcdca847918ed5cbb.jpg

I wish the OEM one covered that much.

How’s the color and finish match to the side rails? It looks great! I was actually having a hard time at first figuring out what I was looking at it’s so stock looking (intended as a compliment).

It was hard to take pictures at the right angle so you can see it! Lol the texture and color is a little off, but it might blend a little better if I put some polish on the side rails. Oh don’t mind my messy garage [emoji2359]

A clean shop is a sign of a sick mind. Part of working on stuff is the 45 min search for the 10mm socket in your right front pocket. Lol

How well does it hold up loading and unloading like gravel lumber firewood appliances and metal?
because I use my truck to haul almost daily and I’m on my third replacement.

Look at the tailgate protector from deviante raceparts, Its spendy but worth it, I decided I didn't want to keep replacing mine every 9 months

Not for me, it only partly covers the top of the tailgate

You're right it doesn't but it covers enough to keep you from tearing the top cap off sliding stuff in and out of the bed. I've had mine on a year and a half. Other a few scratches it looks like when I put it on. This is after dragging pallets of stone, mulch, sod and shoveling dirt and gravel

Can anyone who purchased the Tailgate Protector from Geno's tell me how far down from the top does it go? Or how far up from the top of the handle? I have some damage and the cost to repair is a lot more expensive than just putting this tailgate protector from Geno's Garage.
