2012 to 2017 1500 seat swap

Hello ,

I am new to the site and needed some help. I recently swapped some seats out of a 2017 ram into my 2012 ram. The harnesses did not fit on mine of course. I swapped all harnesses and everything is working. However now my airbag light is on. Is this something that a dealer can turn off?

Dealership is not going to turn off a safety device malfunction indication.

As stated the dealer will not turn off any safety MFL. You may be able to get it to turn off buy adding or changing some wiring. Did your original seats have airbags? If so it could be that they are wired incorrectly. It can also be because the passenger seat occupancy sensor or seatbelt is not communicating with the truck. When you have a passenger in the truck does it alert you if they don't buckle their seat belt?
