So OP, are you trying for a 2020 Ram or just newer then what you have ?

Hello! I’m going back and forth. I like the 4th gen body so possibly a new classic. However with looking into exactly what I want specification wise I would grab a newer used one.

The original Street Slicks on my Wrangler had exactly 14 miles on them when they got sold/traded to the tire shop that put on the 285-17 GoodYear Dura Tracs.

Somebody somewhere will give you money for those street Slicks, and then you go and get real tires.

I was thinking of trading in these two for a Jeep - the removable top would give us the convertible experience, and the back could hold some of the things I haul around, and for bigger things I could get a trailer. But then I look at my classic Camaro, and my spotless 10 year old Ram, and just can’t pull the trigger!

Congratulations! I have a 97 TJ that I've built and love. Remember no matter what, never put the "Angry Bird" grill on or you'll be the laughingstock of all the Jeepers.

We bought a used 2020 JL Unlimited Sport Altitude for my wife right before all this virus stuff really hit (March) she's put maybe 500 miles on it but has been asking for me to make it sound "better" since we bought it.

Have been looking into CAI to give it some growl as well. Haven't found one that has really jumped out at me yet.

IMG_0996.jpg Dgr, Jeep Wranglers are a dime a dozen. If you're at a stoplight in my small town, you'll see at least 3 of them. I'm not exaggerating.

Whoever convinced Chrysler to buy Jeep way back when, is a genius!

You keep that old Camero. And they made very damn few Hunter Pearl Green trucks. That's a rare bird also.

Let me know what you find. I’m in the same situation.

Have a 2017 JKUR and 2018 RAM 2500 CTD as seen in my avatar. I recommend sticking with 17" wheels on your Wrangler unless you plan to spend 100% of your time on-road. Airing down for off-road is much more effective with 17" wheels versus larger, regardless of what tires you are running.

Wranglerforum.com is where I hung before we traded the Jeeps in on the truck. What I like about the site it was not one of them "if you ain't a krawler, you ain't ****" sites.

I've kept my Jeep stock in the suspension area, but Jeeps look pretty "Anemic" stock until they get a little TLC.
My before and today photos.

Congrats on the jeep.

I use to have this one and I’m looking to get another one (2door this time)

That's a good looking Jeep. I still have my heart set on getting one someday, but the need to pull the trailer and a wife that refuses to have a third car in the driveway is stopping that for now.

I special ordered my Wrangler Sport back in 1997. Kept it for 13 years and put 230k miles on it before I sold it and bought a 2003 V10 Superduty to tow my 9k# boat. It served me well both on and off road. Did a bunch of mods to it over the years, but it never had any major mechanical issues. The 4.0L I6, manual tranny, and D44 rear was a bulletproof combo. I'm currently driving a 2017 2500 Bighorn with an amazing level of creature comforts, but I still miss my Jeep.

I have a 2019 JLU Wrangler Moab right now ... have been considering trading it in on a Ram sometime in the next year or so. This is my 3rd Wrangler--great third car for us--convertible and fun and an extra 4wd. We own some ranch land and it's a 4 hour drive up there and I'm finding I wish I had a better ride for the drive up and back and a bed for some of the dirty ranch work I have to do. I would probably get an EcoDiesel as well. I thought about waiting for a Gladiator diesel, but when I look at pricing between that and a Ram it's hard to justify the Gladiator. Ram is more spacious, smoother ride, quieter, more luxurious, more storage, and less money when it comes down to it. I love having a Wrangler for the top off fun, but I don't seem to take the top off as much as I'd planned and it would be nice to fit 3 across the rear seat with two car seats which I could do in a Ram. It's really hard to think about not having a Jeep though. I'll probably post another topic on here for people that have gone from a Jeep to a Ram.
