A little confused about the 8.4 Uconnect upgrade

Hello all, first post. I read through as much of the DIY thread as possible and still confused. I purchased a new auto climate control bezel and 8.4 RA4 radio.

My question is this- Do I need the climate control module and harness to make this all work? If so, what part # is needed for both, and can someone point me in the correct direction? I'd like to have it all installed this coming weekend.

Any help is appreciated, so thanks in advance!

There is much more to it than that. Contact Mike @M2mods in the vendor section of the forum to enquire about a conversion harness. There is tons of info in the 4th gen DIY section as well. You will need a conversion harness and heater control module. Your truck will not support the Duall Zone ATC that the 8.4 bezel you bought is for unless you pull the dash and replace the HVAC box. You can enable Single Zone ATC but it will require the extra wiring for the temp sensor plus the humidity sensor plus you will need to enable the Single Zone ATC feature in your BCM with the Alfa tool. You can also purchase a ****** Zone MTC (Manual Temp Control) 8.4 bezel and not worry about the auto temp control. There is way to much info to go into here. I reccomend reading through the 8.4 tread as much as possible to get up to speed and post any questions you have there.

Unless you have steering wheel audio controls (absolute minimum function), you will need a conversion harness set, correct HVAC module, and likely Call Error Bypass Plug. For a specific answer...

what year truck?
1500/2500?
What's the current radio/mic setup?
Where does the backup camera display if he has one?
Do you care about/want Single Zone ATC (Auto Temp Control)?
& Finally are you planning to use a 13-17 RA3/RA4 radio it a 2018 UAQ/ UAS radio?
