Hey guys so its probably nothing but thought i would post here and ask.

So i have power folding mirrors on my 14 sport and i dont use them they are just always left open however truck parked in driveway last night and we had a massive thunderstorm and around 70mm rain downpour. Woke up this morning and first thing i noticed was the mirrors were folded closed on the truck..

I tested them out it all seems fine they open and close. The passanger one seems to be quicker then the driver side though.

Is this anything to worry about,?Could the rain cause them to close somehow or rain got in the truck somehow?

Everything looks dry inside but dang its bugging me because i never closed them lol.

They will close if bumped. My 16 Laramie with power fold mirrors will close if bumped. Once one moves they both move.

I would suggest, it may have not been weather but something else

I have noticed on my 2019 classic BH that the passenger mirror is slightly faster than the driver mirror when I close them. Haven’t had them close on their own though.

Sorry to hijack this thread but i have a question. Is there a way to have the mirrors close when you turn off engine and open door?

See i live in the country nothing around.Unless a big animal came and hit one but i just went out and bumped into them and they did nothing.

I checked my security cams up to 11pm last night and they were out but then we lost power at that time and cameras never came back online till i reset them this morning dang haha.

Prerty hefty price. When i went to choose options it says only for 2500 and 3500 models
It does a lot more than just fold in the mirrors. I would contact them as the one for the '18 1500 is probably the same one used for the '19 & '20 Classic 1500s like yours

Never noticed this on my 17....how hard of a "bump" is necessary? And does the drivers mirror fold up if you bump the passenger?

I've never had mine close when bumped either. Granted I haven't slapped them hard but I have manually folded them on occasion and you have to push them pretty hard to do that plus they have been bumped. I've never heard of them doing that. The mirrors folding at different speeds is completely normal.

Yes I agree my 14 does not fold being bumped.
Now on the original of they closed over night I still never figured it out lol.
Still bugging me. I know its probably nothing but dang such a small thing but I like to figure things out. Of course my camera was down because of the storm however I dont think something bumped them and they dont close like that on my Nyways

doesn't happen on my '16 sport. I have to manually move them all the way in or out if I don't use the inside button. They don't move in tandem when I do that, like when I wax the truck.

Your RAM just got scared by the thunder and was tucking its' ears in. Teach it not to be a ***** and the mirrors won't fold during a thunderstorm.

My 2014 is the same way. The passenger mirror is about 1/2 second faster.
