well you know the stock clad wheels are covers too. But platidip would work, just not be as glossy if thats what you are after.

Yeah I like the matte look. The way I see it, $15 bucks on Plastidip and a few hours of work is easier than tracking down non-clad wheels, spending the money on the covers and getting a tire shop to swap the wheels. Plus if I don't like the Plasti-dip I can just peel it off lol.

Installed the Dee Zee tailgate assist and liking it so far. Honestly the tailgate is very light compared to the 3rd gen so it would have been more useful on that truck lol. Good mod for 20ish dollars.

Got refunded a deposit on an electric bill recently so decided to pick up the MevoTech UCA’s just for some added security when I install the Bilstein 5100’s. Painted them up tonight and hope to get it all installed on Saturday, Installing at 2.8”

Haven’t people found the mevotechs to be no better than stock (ie the BJs are still in the same position/angle as stock) thus they’re not going to actually do anything OEM won’t do?

I'm not installing them because they are so much better that stock. I'm mostly doing it because it gives a bit of added security to have a new ball joint that is grease-able and beefed up arm (forged steel vs stock stamped steel). I don't want to have to worry about the ball joint down the road. Also from some research I've seen the the Mevo's give a slightly better angle when added to a level vs stock where the ball joint doesn't seem to be too happy but will functionally work.

Fixed my 3rd brake light seal. I pulled it off and half of it stuck to the truck. The actual deal might have been alright but I fixed it for added security. The new weatherstripping was really good quality. The leftover of it I’ll be using to fix the front bulkhead seal on my tonneau cover.

Finally got my level on. The having the right tools and a two post lift made quick work. The first front side took about 1.5 hours, the second side about 30 minutes. We installed Bilstein 5100’s at 2.8” on the front along with MevoTech UCA’s for added security. The rear is a 3/4” spacer meant for a XJ/TJ Jeep but it fit perfectly on the truck to bring it to almost exactly level. Gotta get an alignment this week but it drive straight all the way home. It rides a slight bit stiffer but still very smooth.
Measurements before were 36.25 front and 39.125 rear. After us 39.75 front and 40” ish rear so almost exactly level.

Looks good! I also see you installed the “stubby” antenna. How is it?
Just debating to do the same with mine!

I installed the stubby because it looks great and also because I never use the radio lol. I pay for Spotify so I use that over bluetooth, or I use Sirius as I have a few months of free service. I tried FM once to see and it still sounded as good as FM radio can sound lol.

Installed my new AJT shift knob. This thing is BEEFY. Definitely feels more like a shifter than a radio dial. I didn’t like the look of B&M or others.

Looking good. I think it's one of the best upgrades I've done.

Did my first mod tonight. Found a BAKFlip cover on FB market place for a steal, 250 cash. It’s a bit older but it’ll work for my needs. Have a tailgate assist and a stubby antenna coming in soon as well. a13eb4426643dd8d83af9c1695cda0f5.jpg

Facebook Marketplace continues to give treasures. Found an OEM sport grille for cheap, decided why not as I'm slowly doing away with the chrome on the truck. It has a few nicks here and there but otherwise great condition, not mounting tabs or anything broken. IMG_4368.JPG IMG_4369.JPG

First mod of the new year. Found someone selling stock powder coated black rims from a sport or other model. Picked them up for Dailey cheap and got them mounted. They have a few nicks on them but nothing crazy. It’s the looks I’ve been searching for.
