Careful, you can only transfer it 5 times. Had a buddy find that out the hard way :(

Depends on when you bought the Lifetime sub:

If you purchased your Lifetime subscription

  • Before June 20, 2005: Yes, it is transferable from one radio to another any number of times.*
  • From June 20, 2005 until September 7, 2007: Yes, your Lifetime subscription is transferable a maximum of three times.*
  • On or after September 8, 2007: Lifetime subscriptions associated with home, portable or dock & play radios can be transferred a maximum of three times.* Lifetime subscriptions first associated with or transferred to radios installed in vehicles by automakers or dealers are NOT transferable unless the radio is stolen, accidentally damaged or defective.
Once a lifetime subscription associated with a home, portable, or dock & play radio is transferred to a radio installed by an automaker or dealer, the subscription becomes non-transferable. Otherwise, Lifetime subscriptions associated with a home, portable or dock & play radio can be transferred a maximum of three times, for a fee.*

Totally false. They have changed policy.. My lifetime has a 5 time limit, last time I went to change, I was infirm of the policy change, there are no limits now, BUT, they note charge $75 per change, with no limit.
I argued that was not the terms of my agreement, eventually got them down to $20 to swap radios.

I travel many places where I do not have internet available. Plus I get too many phone interruptions. But for two of my radios I just renewed 2 radios for a year because we like it. My new truck is free until next April. Then I renegotiate for all three.

Yup me too. Minor pain to get it re started on my 2018.
How did you get your lifetime moved to your 18? I bought the lifetime on my 09 and tried a couple of times to get it moved to my 17, but they refuse.

Sirius ?

After the free trial I just let it die. I'd never pay for what they offer.

With all the commercials (for themselves) , repetitions, and sleezy business model I have no idea how they stay in business....

There are too many better options nowadays.

RacerX first thing I did when I got the new truck was to call Sirius and tell them that I no longer had the older truck and asked to have it transferred to the then new truck. Alas was told they would not do it. A couple of months later called again still said no. So I waited another week and called again and again explained I had the lifetime and was told at the time I could transfer up to 5 times. This was my first transfer by the way. Anyway I spoke to a supervisor a woman and got the transfer done. Still works to this day. From this you can take it that you have to pester them. Good luck. Another thing to keep in mind is that I bought the lifetime in 2007 and the game may have changed not sure at all on that.

Might help to have your old contract number who knows may help. I had mine in hand when I called.

Each station plays the same songs over and over and there are really not that many. Some days on one staion the Doobie bros is played about every tenth or so song.

X2 for the chat feature. Much better customer service that way, especially if you want to cancel mid-subscription.

According to Sirius it is only 3 times, but I have done 4 times so far, I think. If I can't do it more than 5 times it's no big deal as I have got my money's worth from it, and rarely use it anyhow as it sucks most places here due to the trees.

I had it in my 03 on my old head unit, but when I upgraded I decided to not go and buy the dongle for it. The pricing in Canada for Sirius is absurd, and the dongles are another $100+ and for the amount of time I’m realistically in my truck I decided I didn’t honestly need it.

I wish we had the data plans that the US does so I could just stream on my phone, then I could have it in my work truck as well but that doesn’t help when I’m in the middle of nowhere which I usually am haha.

As mentioned by many other as well, the selection is honestly pretty bad, or maybe my sense of taste in music is lol, but I really only use a handful of the stations available, country and octane are about it. I can get the same effect just downloading what I wanna hear.

Just quoting from their website. Maybe you know better than they do: https://listenercare.siriusxm.com/a...2LzEvdGltZS8xNTk0NjI3OTE0L3NpZC9DT0Vqb05Obw==

After just trading my 2017 Ram 1500 for my 2019, all I wanted to do was transfer my existing $6.06/mo plan. I've got 6 months left on the contract.

No dice. Promotional rates are only for that device. It's right in the fine print. Of course I only found this out after calling, speaking with someone, being on hold for 15min because I wasn't buying what they were selling and then mysteriously disconnected.

I ultimately got the transfer done over the phone app. Best I could do is 3 months free due to the new vehicle, then 6 months at $33, then I'll have to call back or pay full rate.

Kinda wish I didn't enjoy XM the way I do. I know I can stream thu my phone, but XM is more convenient, simple, etc.

Had the same issue on 5-6-2020 with Sirus XM. I asked twice for a US rep and was promptly disconnected.

I renew every year for the $112 I think it was and pay via a check. They won't ever get my credit card number again. Good Luck
