So it looks like in 2019 Ram started to change the front jump seat his the image I found it is off of the 2019 and it appears to only be in the tradesman. I am waiting to see what the dimensions are to see how close of a fit it actually would be.

So, just why is it that you participate in this loser forum?
Hayyyy mannnnn

No losers here. Especially not you.

I love mah big ol red Ram. No seriously I do.

Today I hand washed that baby and even got the spaces in between like the front suspension that’s visible with the 6 inch lift and the rear suspension. I even washed the rear end....my wife thinks I’m crazy since those parts are “under the truck and no one cares”. I’m just **** and I think the 4th gen Ram is such a sexy truck. Has a timeless look that I think has looked good since 09 and probably will stay a good looking truck for many more years to come.

But I’m not going to pretend an F150 sucks when they clearly don’t since they tend to sell for more mullah than our beloved Rams. But that’s okay because like I said my Ram is good enough for me. I bought my truck when I was making about half as much money as I do now but I haven’t felt the need to “upgrade” to anything else because it serves me good.

So don’t get you’re feelings in a bunch....I’m here because I like Rams. But that doesn’t mean I can’t like Fords. I think the previous style GMC is also a nice truck though I can’t say I feel the same way about those things they’re making now a days. I think they dropped the ball in the design department for sure.

Hmm, that’s weird mine’s so much quieter compared to yours that’s one year older.

My '15 with a Mufflex/Magnaflow-18 was pretty unbearable with MDS enabled.

Mine is a 2017 and I never heard much of a difference between MDS on or off when I had my Mufflex 18". I'm with you corneileous, it just isn't noticeable to the point to be annoying in my truck. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe the frequency just isn't as annoying to my ears.[/QUOTE]

I'm with you man. I have never understood why people get so attached and defensive about a specific brand to the point that they feel the need to trash on other brands. They all make good trucks, even Nissan and Toyota. I bought my Ram because it was the best value for the dollar at the time, and the ride quality was better than the rest. That doesnt mean I think Ram is the best truck on the road, and it certainly isnt the worst truck on the road. And saying that it isnt the best truck on the road does not mean that I dont like it and shouldnt be on a Ram forum. I'm on a Ram forum because I drive a ram, not because I hate other trucks. If someone wants to drive a GMC, great, I think they are nice trucks. If someone likes Ford, great, I've had probably 10-11 of them in my life. Right now, it's Ram.

I found something I dont like. The damn autopark. I did not have it, and I specifically requested the dealer not perform that update. They told me they would not, and the tech stated specifically on the paperwork that they did not perform the update due to customer request, yet, it was done anyway. I found out when it slammed into park as I was backing up and thought I might have hit something. To say I was, and still am, pissed about it is an understatement. Unfortunately, what is done is done.

I had a similar experience when I told them I already performed the tailgate recall. Previously I had tried to get it fixed but I was out of the bumper to bumper warranty, they said my truck was not a part of the recall AND they wanted $150 just to "diagnose" the issue.

All that and I ended up purchasing the part to fix it myself for a couple bucks (I think shipping cost more). On a later visit they said this needed to be done, I told them no and that I already performed the fix. They had me sign a waiver...THEN THEY DID IT ANYWAY! They actually broke it when "fixing" it because with two travel limiters installed the tailgate no longer locks.093fc9556a5e3f0b4354b04565a1e211.jpg

My 2017 Big Horn, (6 cylinder so don't get all that excited), is the first vehicle I have owned with more than minimal 'technology'. And by that I mean heated mirrors, seats, steering wheel, back up camera, oil change indicator....and so on. My last vehicle was an 08 Camry. The electric mirrors were it in that ancient ride.

What don't I like?

1. The knob. The shift knob. Why? Why do that? Jesus, what I would do for a good old lever on the steering column.

2. No CD player. Come on, CDs are not that old a technology. They expect a geezer like me to know how to get those CDs onto my phone and then figure out how to play that in the truck? Apple Music, Sirius, Spotify are too much for my brain to absorb...ughh.

3. This applies to all vehicles today...PUT THE HIGH BEAM FOOT 'CLICKER' BACK IN ALL VEHICLES. I miss the sound, and more importantly, I miss being able to have both hands
on the wheel without reaching, twisting, grabbing, and hoping to god my turn signal and wipers don't come on while trying to shed some light on the road ahead.

4. (From my wife) Should be a bench seat, so a couple can sit close together while driving. Some of us remember that, don't we?

What do I like?

1. Those heated seats and steering wheel in concert with the remote start sure do a fellow good on a cold morning.

2. The sliding rear window makes having the windows down a lot quieter.

3. Most everything else about the truck.

That’s just your opinion, bud. Why does it seem like its so hard for you to understand why some people would get attached and be loyal to one brand? I’ve been driving Mopar products all the way back since the year 2000 when I bought my very first Dodge, a 96 Dakota with that almighty 318 under the hood. Instant love. And they’ve all been good to me so that’s why Ive stuck with what I drive.

I don’t care for Ford, never have but primarily it’s just because I don’t like the way they look, I think they’re uglier than sin, I don’t like that they make them out of aluminum and how they try to talk that “military grade” aluminum up so high like it’s tougher than a box of 16 penny nails, and it’s not. I don’t like how they act like they don’t have any rusting issues because of that aluminum body, but they fail to mention the potential of rusting problems on that steel frame or on any of the other steel components that’s on the undercarriage but by God you’ll never have rust on that pop can aluminum bed, cab or fender.

I don’t like how they tried to make themselves sound so much better than the other two major brands when Chrysler and GM took their bailouts, and then turn around and “borrow”.... 6 billion dollars from the government because if they gloated so much on not needing help from the government on such trying times, then why all the sudden turn around less than two years later and end up doing pretty much the same thing that the other two did?

I don’t like how they act like they’re so much better than every other manufacturer and say that they are the best trucks on the road just because they sell so many. Well, in my book, how ever many units you sell doesn’t say that you’re the best. McDonald’s probably outsells anybody involved and hamburgers by far but does that make them the best? No, it does not. And I guess one of the main reasons why I don’t care for Ford is because all of these diehard Ford fans that come up with some of the dumbest **** they can think of to argue with over the years is what’s really causing me to probably say that Ford is the absolute one brand that I hate the most and don’t care for them at all.

Does all this sound petty? Do I care if any of you think this is petty? No, I certainly do not. I have my reasons just like you guys have your reasons. Do I expect you to believe everything I said? No, I do not. Do I expect any of you to agree with me? No, I don’t on that, either. I don’t like their marketing techniques, I don’t like their style of new things they come out with and how they make it sound like they’re so much more on top of the other brands like for example when they came out with that new F150 years ago where they thought they had achieved some major breakthrough by putting the rear shock absorbers outside the frame and put them between the rear tires and the frame; like that’s really going to be better than everybody else who moves the shock stand closer towards the differential. Or like, when they had that one commercial years ago when they advertised that their bed bolts were so strong that using just one bolt would support the entire weight of the truck… that’s an innovation??...lol. Yeah, those bolts might be as strong as any other bolt made but does it really matter when that soft metal bed gets ripped right over the those super strong bolts that are still going to be tightly fastened to the frame?

It’s just a whole bunch of stuff that’s accumulated throughout the years is why I have a bad opinion of Phord. If y’all don’t like that then well I don’t know what to tell ya.

For the ones who question why I respond to this thread, this post below is a perfect example of that....

What don't I like?

1. The knob. The shift knob. Why? Why do that? Jesus, what I would do for a good old lever on the steering column.
I honestly don’t know the reason why they went from that goofy console shifter to the knob instead of going back to the column shifter but why is that a big deal?

2. No CD player. Come on, CDs are not that old a technology. They expect a geezer like me to know how to get those CDs onto my phone and then figure out how to play that in the truck? Apple Music, Sirius, Spotify are too much for my brain to absorb...ughh.
It really isn’t that big a deal to learn new technology but first and foremost, just because you’re one of the few who still insists on using old technology, why didn’t you get a truck that has a CD player? To get one without it and then ***** later for not having it doesn’t support your case, I don’t care what the title of this thread says. And no, you can’t blame someone else because you don’t want to adapt to new technology. My truck didn’t come with a CD player and that’s fine by me because I haven’t spun a CD in over ten years. Once I got my first iPod and found it so much easier to carry my entire CD library that consisted of over 10,000 songs on a little bitty device no bigger than a cell phone, CD’s all the sudden became nothing more than just useless pieces of plastic that were just waiting to get scratched.

Oh and hell, you wanna hear something funny? My last truck, the 2008 ram Laramie that I had before my new Limited, for the first time ever, I had a truck that came with the fancier stereo that had a built-in six disc CD changer in it; but, ya know, since I was already into what, 4 to 5 years of listening to my music completely digital, I never once put a CD in that stereo so as far as if the damn thing even worked or not, I have no idea because I just thought it was awful funny that for the first time in my life I had a fancy stereo that I could put six CDs in but at that point that amenity was totally useless useless to me.

3. This applies to all vehicles today...PUT THE HIGH BEAM FOOT ‘CLICKER’ BACK IN ALL VEHICLES. I miss the sound, and more importantly, I miss being able to have both hands on the wheel without reaching, twisting, grabbing, and hoping to god my turn signal and wipers don’t come on while trying to shed some light on the road ahead.
Seriously??? I have no further comment to this one.

4. (From my wife) Should be a bench seat, so a couple can sit close together while driving. Some of us remember that, don't we?
I agree with you on this one here 100% but just like with the issue of the CD player; if having the ability to do that is so important then why didn’t you get a truck that had the bench seat instead of one that sounds like you have the big ole center console between two bucket seats?

Any guys with a 5th gen and aftermarket exhaust on here??
Does your MDS sound like crap like the 4th gen? Not sure I'm going to buy another truck after this one anyways. I might go car. I really, really like the 2020 Audi RS3, but there are some features I need that it just doesn't have. I might go suv as well, maybe the Ford Explorer ST model? Who knows,....I've got a long time to go before then. lol
I really do like the 5th gen sport Ram trucks though. So nice. The Power Wagons look pretty killer as well.

As for liking other brands,.........I LOVE all cars/trucks that are fast, loud and look good. Case in point, I'm on my second Ford Mustang, a 2019 Roush Stage 3. Had a '13 Roush Stage 3 previously and a '99 Hugger Orange Camaro SS before that.

So now that I have put a couple of thousand miles on my new to me 2014 2500 4x4 CC, I have one minor dislike. Turning radius, my old 2005 F250 Super Duty 4x4 CC turned tighter, of course my Ram has 20" tires compared to 17" on the old Ford so hard to fully compare, but that is it. The RAM is otherwise so much better all around than my old Ford was and I really loved that old Super Duty. This RAM and I will have at least 10 years together (not counting any unforeseen mishaps).

Lol you talk about “Phord” owners like politicians talk about their opponents in the news now a days.

You care about FCA a lot more than they’ll
Ever care about you that’s for sure.

Tell us how you really feel.
I did....[emoji41]

No need to get excited.

I mean dude you do know FCA doesn’t give one lick about you so I’m not sure why you’re so passionate about them. You almost talk about “Phord” owners the way political nut jobs talk about their opponents. Kinda crazy if you ask me and there are people who can help you.
They probably don’t but what and why would that matter to me? They make a product.... or several products I like so why would I care if that mattered to them? Seriously, why would you even ask such a question? Has Phord somewhere down the road been all sweet, peachy and loving to you? Is that why you like them so much?....lol. I mean, they do have quite the following of a lot of people so they must be doing something right, I’m just guessing.

FYI I’m really getting a kick out of your posts because I have to assume you’re being dramatic to make the convo interesting. Theres no way you’re this fanatical about stuff....
Yeah, I can say I’m quite amused at how much what I say seems to bother you and how you have such interest in it and even hint that you think I need help....lol. This is a discussion forum, ain’t it? It’s for discussin’ things, ain’t it? I’m not trying to be dramatic, not in any way.

I have to butt in and say that I have the "bench" seat which is not even close to a true old school bench seat. I would love a truck with an honest bench seat as an option.

There's 2 things that I don't like about my truck which I'm sure have been mentioned:

The windows are 1 touch down and should be 1 touch up too.

When you release the seat lever to flip it forward, it should return to its previous position.

Minor annoyances of course.

I think this forum is called “What don’t you like about your Ram” not “What don’t you like about your Ram so people can talk you out of it” imho

Well, you would be right but just because it doesn’t say we can’t, doesn’t mean we’re stricken from doing so.

My 2014 and 2016 both have one touch up and down for both front windows. You might have to do a reset to get them to work. Press and hold window Down button all the way down and hold the button down for About 3 seconds then try and see if one touch up works

But it still gets the job done though, doesn’t it?

The windows are 1 touch down and should be 1 touch up too.
Mine are but for whatever it’s worth, be glad you don’t have them because it’s kind of a pain the butt to crack the windows whenever I wanna take advantage of my window visors and crack the windows for ventilation when the slightest resemblance of mimicking the one touch up activation, I’m either fully rolling the windows down or up.

When you release the seat lever to flip it forward, it should return to its previous position.
Guess I don’t get what you mean....
