Installed Bilstien 5100 up front at 2.8 about 2 weeks ago. Got my alignment done Monday. Truck definitely feels a bit more firm, but nothing jarring.

I’m really liking the look. I’m sitting a tad nose high which really doesn’t bother me, but it does bother me when I have some weight in the bed.

So I decided to order some 1.5” coil spacers for the rear. Got them off amazon. I think they mount on the bottom of the spring but just wanted to verify before I go to install them tomorrow.

Something to keep in mind when you lift the rear :)

I think hes referring to the track bar drop bracket on the right side.

And yes those spacers mount on the bottom. I am running the same style spacer on my truck.

Looks good man!

1.5" will do you about right. I have 1" Daystar spacer (go on top of spring) and I'm slightly nose high.

Will stock shocks work with 1.5" or will extended shocks be needed?

I don’t know exactly what I’m looking at lol.

When I lifted my Ram I always got this little ass-wag feeling whenever crossing a prominent seam in pavement, a railroad track, etc... it was super subtle driving straight but if I was on turn, like a curving freeway transition and hit an expansion joint that wasn't perfectly level the whole back of the truck would nudge over and it didn't feel very safe... well, maybe it made me slow down more for the corners so maybe it was safer that way? :D

So I put the drop bracket on and as you can see it makes the track bar closer to level at normal ride height. The wag went away. I don't know if there's a particular threshold for when it's needed or not needed (like 2 inches vs. 1 inch... ) but it was a good investment for me anyway.

Did you buy the drop bracket as part of a lift kit or separate?

Separate. Immediately when I bought my Ram new in 2015 I also bought the Mopar 2" lift kit and installed it, but there was no track bar drop bracket back then. I drove it like that for more than 3 years and it was OK other than that little wiggle back there and I could have lived with it like that forever. I had to do a lot of fiddling with the front to get it just right but that's a different topic.

But when Carli came out with the drop bracket I bought it as soon as I saw it... $75 and a pretty easy install, it was like the last piece of the puzzle falling into place I finally didn't want to mess with the truck anymore :D and not because I was sick of messing with it but it finally felt dialed in.

Edit: here's a link to the bracket on Carli's site https://carlisuspension.com/product...s/dodge-2014-1500-rear-trackbar-drop-bracket/

I have no affiliation with them or anyone else.

Thanks for the info I am going to order this as I have noticed the same wiggle on occasion. Where did you get yours from? I haven't purchased anything from the retailers listed on their site.

@kurek Awesome, this should help out with my simple setup of Icon 1.5” progressive lift springs and Fox shocks.

I ordered from sdhqoffroad.com/ - I don't know if it matters at all who you order from but I have no complaints on them..

I have thought about it as I’ve now discovered after researching that the spacer isn’t gonna make much of a difference when adding weight in the back. Still gonna sag.

Thanks for the link. I’m gonna order this as well. I never knew this was even an issue. Never stumbled across this when researching coil spacers.

I haven't had any issues with mine but I only do some mild offroading. I would swap this style out for the TGC top spring spacer if you do more serious wheeling.

There's these

https://www.bilsteinlifts.com/shop/...2-1-5-rear-lift-coils-for-2009-2019-ram-1500/

and these

I don't have experience with either of them... or maybe I do? Some people have said the Mopar lift I have uses those Icon coils in back but I haven't seen anything official saying so.

Post some pics with the angle of your trackbar. If you don't have a lift even better lets see how your trackbar angle looks like stock. You don't need a TB relocation bracket with 1" lift. Kurek has a shorty RAM so it seems they get a ton more lift than the bigger more heavy counterparts :)

2" lifted in the back, sway bar links are 13 1/4 from the stock 11's, no TB relo bracket.

I don't like the location of the Carli bracket, i'd like a bracket to go on the axel side of the trackbar,
I had a similar thing in my Jeep Wrangler. in my case that wasn't a good bracket because of the strees the mount will see when you have a rig that sees a lot of flex

Learned the hard way so my 2nd bracket was way sturdier and it mounted on the axel side, braced a lot better on both sides so chances of elongating the holes were nill.

Granted the Carli bracket seems stronger than the version i had in my Jeep so it may not be an issue for most (ovaled holes and eventually the bracket cracked), for me is just memory reflex though so that location is not for me :) besides the angle on my TB heap looks fine so i haven't looked at what other options there are asides form Carli when it comes to improving the TB angle.

Before relocating the bracket, get down there i'm not kidding and grab your factory TB in the middle and wiggle it , you'll be surprised how whimpy that thing is from the factory.

I agree also from Jeep experience. Raise the axle mounted end not lower the frame mount . Been a while but I think it had something to do with the roll center?
