But it still gets the job done though, doesn’t it?

Mine are but for whatever it’s worth, be glad you don’t have them because it’s kind of a pain the butt to crack the windows whenever I wanna take advantage of my window visors and crack the windows for ventilation when the slightest resemblance of mimicking the one touch up activation, I’m either fully rolling the windows down or up.

Guess I don’t get what you mean....

FYI, it’s the switches.. my 2014 both driver and passenger sides have no issue with the one touch and being able to easily crack the windows. My 2016, if you just look at the switch, it goes up and down and you can pull your hair out trying to lightly crack the windows. :signs8:

A blow-up doll can “get the job done” man. But the real thing’s just better. A butter knife can “get the job done” if I want to cut that tree in my backyard down, but a chainsaw is better.

Just like the ignore function could rid most of us of your incessant posts about how your Ram is “good enough” and how every shortfall is okay because you cant fathom why someone would want more than what you have....but what’s better is keeping you around to laugh at.

1. The knob. The shift knob. Why? Why do that? Jesus, what I would do for a good old lever on the steering column.

A valid point. But, why? I guarantee it's a response based on experience rather than functionality (with rare exceptions).

2. No CD player. Come on, CDs are not that old a technology.

Sorry - gotta disagree here. I'm an Old Guy, and CDs were in vogue before I graduated HS in 1982. For those who have difficulties with math, that's almost 40 years ago.

This applies to all vehicles today...PUT THE HIGH BEAM FOOT 'CLICKER' BACK IN ALL VEHICLES.
Gotta AGREE with you there. ESPECIALLY (and what a shame that is!) with 99% of vehicles today being sold with ATs, the Left Foot is doing nothing other than resisting gangrene. Give me a floor clicker and get that foot back to work!

Most everything else about the truck.
Amen!

You know, you coulda just stopped at “blowup doll”...... actually, lemmie rephrase that... none of your examples make sense to what I told that other person because c’mon man, gimmie one good reason why a modern-day bench seat wouldn’t suffice next to an old school one?? What, because they’re now two separate seats even though they still allow for ya sweetie to slide over next to ya? Gimmie a frickken bone, man.

But if you wanna ignore me then go right ahead. Won’t be the first time and I highly doubt it’ll be the last time because I guess most snowflakes can’t handle a difference of an opinion or a thought that might just be a little different than theirs.

And when did I say my Ram is “good enough”?? I never said that. You assumed that. I just don’t feel it necessary to essentially whine about small stuff even though someone created a thread for me to do so. But if what I say bugs you so damn bad then why the hell you insist on replying to what I say? Sounds like somebody’s a little triggered.

I guess maybe it is, I dunno. But I dunno, I guess with how touchy these switches are, I guess I just really don’t need to crack the windows as much as I thought I did unless I just don’t try to crack the front ones because the back ones don’t have that one touch up/down ****.

Some peoples affinity for bench seats and floor foot high beam switches is interesting. I remember that stuff from back then but sure do not yearn for it by no means.

Same here. I mean, there’s times I’d like a full bench but I like my ginormous center console, too. But yeah, my highbeams are automatic .....[emoji41]

Born in 82, never knew high beams used to be foot operated...

I liked the bench seats, until I armor all'd them. And yes they were vinyl hahah.

It sure would be nice if the Engine Brake setting would stay as it was when shut down.

You are not missing anything. Had a 1981 Ford F100 with it. Usually had to replace the switch every couple of years because it usually wore out most times due to gunk and mud on your footwear migrating into it. Also was a classic rust through spot since the switch mounted through the metal floor.

Yep shiny button below the emergency brake, about an inch tall. Click on, click off.

I had an 86 F-150 with a foot switch. I liked it. Not bothered by the blinker arm pull switch, but the foot switch was a cool feature from way back when.

I like having both setups, my ram has buckets and console and my 66 Lesabre has old fashioned full split bench with the high beam switch on the floor. Have had the car 17 years, the switch has never required any maintenance. Of course this car is just a summer cruiser though, so not trying to compare it to a daily driver work truck.

I do like the high beam switch on the floor though, but am fine with the modern setups as well. In this picture, you can just see the lower half of the switch under the parking brake (circular shiny thing under parking brake):

The 86 F150 I mentioned was bought new in 86 by my dad. It was his daily driver until 1999 when he took my ranger to trade in on a new F150 for himself, and gave me his truck. It was my daily driver for another several years. When I got rid of it in 04, at 18 years old and with almost 250k on it (including taking a rinse in the bay while launching our boat once), the switch never had a hiccup.

My 2014 and 2016 both have one touch up and down for both front windows. You might have to do a reset to get them to work. Press and hold window Down button all the way down and hold the button down for About 3 seconds then try and see if one touch up works

No luck, but thanks for the suggestion.
I noticed on the build sheet it mentions only '1 touch down' so I guess the fleet that built it didn't want to pay for 1 touch up too lol.

At least it has power windows, my Dakota was crank!

My 2014 Express has both but occasionally only one or the other will work.

Oh ok. The build sheets on my 2014 and 2016 both say 1 touch up and down.
