Does anyone know if the wiring colors posted earlier also applies to a 2019 2500 with the Harmen Karden system?
And this is located under the dash?

Sorry should have added more info. I was referring to the color wires that were listed to disable the ANC. I was hoping to find out if these are the same for a 2019 2500 with HK audio w/ amplifier

Update to my last post.
Instead of cutting wires or buying an adaptor, I pulled the mics out of the headliner and they have a plug. Disconnected the plug, put everything back in place and problem solved.
This is for a 2019 2500 that had no problem with ANC until I installed an aftermarket subwoofer and amp. If anyone cares.
Hope it helps someone down the road.

Did you ever determine this? I dont think its a standard feature but part of some options packages, or at least that is what my dealer indicated (which has a 50/50 chance of being accurate).
Yeah they all have ANC. But not all of them have amps.

You can bypass through harness under steering wheel if you don't have the amp.

I haven't done it, still have my unused speakers in the garage. Might order the bypass and install them eventually

I’ve actually heard FAR more troubles from FORD F-150 owners with front end issues- tie rod failures and front axle failure, front wheel bearings failing, and basically 4wheel drive not engaging. All on trucks from model year 2018 and newer.

Friends has a really good looking 2019 that has been been in the shop 18 times for a variety of front end issues. None have hit the magic “3rd time” for the state lemon law to kick in. And this guy takes care of everything he owns. He doesn’t slam his truck around- and does maintenance according to schedule. Dee is ****. He told me he was ready to walk away from FORD, but is a bit upside down on this truck. He said he’s been looking hard at RAM, and will probably take the loss and buy a Ram this year.

To each their own...I’ve had six Hemi’s in the family with zero issues. I test drive all three Ford engines and the 3.5L was the only one I could possibly consider but in the end went to my experience - no replacement for displacement - so the Hemi won out. I have three coworkers who have had turbo issues with their 3.5L and four who have had no issues. In the end you’ll do whatever floats your boat but I’m confident ANC in a Ram won’t be an issue as much as a small turbo engine could be if routinely towing.

Man I hope this works on my truck! I just installed the amp and sub from my '12 into my '19 2500 and I am getting the drone at idle and feedback when ECO kicks in. I have been thinking I had a grounding issue until i realized it went away mostly in TH mode, when the windows are down or a door opened. I am going to try pulling the mics to see if it fixes it.

If you are having droning/vibrations problems during ECO (MDS mode) or feedback through the sound system, this ANC bypass harness will disable ANC mics. This bypass harness is plug and play verses pulling the ANC mic pins from the connector that plugs into the amp. There is a TSB software flash (TSB 08-033-19) for this problem, but it seems to have a low percentage of fixing the problem.

Thanks for the link! I ended up going this route instead of trying to unplug the mics. Immediate fix!

This is exactly what I was looking for in my 19 2500 PW, I’m just going to unplug the mics and run a LC2i for my amp. And then change the door speakers.

Thank you for the post.

apparently if you have a 1500 there is a 25 amp fuse behind the drivers side kickpanel you can pull

That’s only if you don’t have an amplifier, but just the stand alone ANC. Otherwise, pulling that fuse will take out the amp.

ok so the same concept as on my HD except on HD’s its under the hood and is F74. HD’s dont even have those fuses in the cab.
Wonder if those who have a 1500 with the amp if they have both fuses F12 in the cab and F74 under the hood

I wouldn't sweat the ANC if purchasing a RAM as it hasn't been an issue for most of us. I have two 2019 Rams in the family and have had no issues with ANC or any other issues for that matter (I did have a harmonic cross wind issue once but nothing since) so neither have been to the shop with issues...just oil changes/regular maintenance. I'd be more concerned about the engine you may inherit in the Ford. The Hemi is a solid engine and the eight speed tranny is doing very well. The ride in the Ram is superior to the Ford.
There talking about the disabling it for subwoofers or aftermarket stereo equipment. It gives a horrible bass feed back if you don’t disable anc.

Link is no longer valid, for whatever reason.

Im looking for a ANC bypass to fit a 2020 5th gen with the Alpine system. The one below says it fits the 2019, but I wonder if it would work the 2020?

I found this but it is for the base system: https://www.ramforum.com/threads/how-to-disconnect-anc-at-amp.126462/

I do know that you can buy a bypass module that plugs in to bypass the ANC. This was not around when the 5th gen first came out so disconnecting the mic pins was the only option to disable ANC "in the beginning". Now most use the module (~$10 for the 6-speaker base audio and ~$35-40 for the Alpine/HK group) to minimize effort and are able to restore the OEM system if needed.
