Thanks. How do you like it so far? I've heard that the aftermarket grille shells are pretty flimsy compared to the OEM ones. Did it include the filler panels or did you use the ones from the stock grille?

Filler panels? I have a 2012 so I dunno if my truck has them lol.

It included the grille, the 4 posts that bolt to the radiator support beam across the top, it included the R A M letters, a bunch of hardware for everything and it included the wiring harness for the 3 amber led lights.

The quality is super high. The grille is thick, isn’t flimsy, the wiring harness has weatherproof plugs that are super high quality and the harness is wrapped in a plastic protector.

Definitely better then other cheap ass eBay grilles I’ve seen.

That sounds like the grille is a decent quality. I guess the filler panels are called "closeout panels"? They are the black plastic panels behind the grille that direct the air into the radiator. They might be 2013+? All I know is that they are a huge PITA to remove. I tried to take the driver's side off to add a HEMI badge to my grille and I ended up breaking about half of the clips before I gave up.

The closeout panels are part #9 in the pic.

Ohhh I know them as the active grille shutters.

They started (I think) in 2013. I know my 2012 doesn’t have them.

But you can’t order the grille from the auction I sent you. You need one for a 2013+ ram, the link above is for the 09-12 Rams which have a different shaped grille that won’t fit your truck.

Took me about 45 minutes of searching multiple different terms on eBay but I finally found the same grille I ordered, but for your 2013-2019 ram 1500 model:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/392926631302

(Second link to different seller):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/324278667605

Here is the rebel style v1.0 grille but with red led R A M letters:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/193519472081

And here’s the same V1.0, but with white led R A M letters:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/193440908327

I am thinking about messaging a couple of the eBay sellers with the 2013+ rebel style grille with light up led R A M letters and asking if I can buy just the letters. I feel like with my current AlphaRex retrofit that has RGB DRL’s and 4 RGB Demon Eyes, the red R A M letters would look really cool when I use my RGB’s. Of course i would swap out the red leds inside for some RGB ones and wire it up to a switch so it would only be on when I turn on my retrofits RGB’s.

Were these easy to install? Did you have to remove the bumper cover?

Nice! I purchased a full T3 set in red and they were not packaged anywhere near as nice as yours. I bought them from a company in Utah(?) and they arrived in a USPS Flat Rate box with the lower arms disassembled and barely any padding. All the arms were taped together and it wore through the powercoat in a few spots. Its not a huge deal but it kinda irritated me that it seemed like they spent as little time as possible to package up $550 worth of control arms.

Mine were also drop shipped from the manufacturer in Utah, but I'm only in Vegas.... so less people throwing the box as hard as the can as far as they can ...

I just took off my rear bumper to install my brand new painted bumper and the new bumper didn’t come with the bumper mounting brackets so I had to take them off the old bumper but the bolts were so rusted that most of them just snapped off, while the remaining bolts won’t come off. Ram use this ******** design on the bolts were instead of using a normal bolt head, hex, Phillips or flat head, they decided to use a flat top bolt, with nothing on it to grab, not even a socket style as its perfectly round. So the nuts on the other end are rusted as well as the threads so the nut got stuck half way down and now the bolt just spins and I can’t get any tool to grab a hold of it to get the nut off. So I gave up and now my truck has no rear bumper. I am going to have to go to my local dealer tomorrow and buy 2 new rear bumper mounting brackets and new bolts/nuts so I can install my new bumper. Sooooo frustrating. If stupid ass Ram just used a normal bolt then I’d have already finished putting the new bumper on. [emoji35][emoji2959][emoji2959][emoji2959][emoji2959]

Can you cut them off with an angle grinder or torch them off?

I do retrofits all the time for customers, I actually just stopped because there’s so many scumbag people in this industry and it’s just horrible. I stopped taking orders 3 weeks ago and I’m done doing builds for other people.

Sorry you got burned. If you need help getting the right parts or figuring out how to do it, feel free to Pm me.

Man, thank you! I’ll shoot you some deets when I get home in a month or so.

Very easy. 3 bolts and a harness plug per side. Nothing had to be removed to gain access.

I thought about cutting them off with my Dremel but it appears a new rear bumper mounting bracket kit only costs around $45. On top of that I get 10% off any parts, service, new/used cars, etc. thanks to my employee discount so I’m just gonna get new ones and save myself the trouble.

Well I was gonna do that but new ones are so cheap I’m just gonna pick up new brackets tomorrow morning from the dealer.

And yw, just pm me whenever you need help. I am currently helping 2 different members in the pm’s with retrofits right now and helping them buy the right parts.

Tried my hand at leveling the front. Not really, I cleaned the dust/dirt out of the bed. With all the odd slopes this makes it easier to push out the dirt with the pressure washer.
upload_2020-9-4_10-2-13.png

Cleaned up the outside also. The $17 Wally foam cannon still works like a champ

should have cleaned the outside first, got some drips back into the bed. Also should have cleaned the hitch. Because the head tilts all over the place, I had to strap it so that it would not hit the cover

The HF roof winch sure makes it easy taking it in and out

@WY-Dave Is that foam cannon a pressure washer version, or hose version? I can't get squat for foam out of my Adams hose version. Good idea to put the truck on ramps. I need to PW my bed too and get rid of all the muck
