I have a 2015 RAM 2500 SLT Mega Cab. I added Laramie heated/ventilated/memory seats from a 2015 Laramie. I am trying to add the rear heated seat option for the kids. I know this will be a project and I need quite a few parts. I am curious if you can help me out with the following, and maybe some I don't know of:

Module w/rear heated seats option:
Harness under the drivers seat with extra wires:
Rear elements:
Wiring:

I already have the rear center console with buttons, and the wire harness that goes from the buttons to under the seat. The harness under the seat that I need is the one that actually connects to the seat.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,

The htd. seat modules are the same and is part # 68217268AF
Drivers wiring 68203802AA
Rear htd seat elements 4610136AB
Rear htd back elements 4610137AB
Rear seat wiring 68205161AA I believe 2 may be required

Your seat harness you listed is for the pass side but I believe this is also required as it specifically carries the rear htd seat option code.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
-Benny

Thanks for the quick response.

I have ordered the driver seat module, but everything I have researched shows the rear seat information (codes) are stored in the driver seat module? Please correct me if I am wrong.

I overlooked that harness is for a passenger seat and not drivers, do you offer a forum or maybe a military discount. If its a code you can PM me.

Only thing I'm not sure of is the rear seat wiring (68205161AA), what harness is this? Can you possibly get pics for me? My understanding is, it would be the harness that goes from heated seat element connector up to the drivers seat to give power to the elements?

Thanks

It may be required to add the code JPZ after all of the hardware is installed. The codes typically are added into the BCM which then activates the circuits. Regardless of which module its added to I would plan on doing this.

Yes I will send you a code.

Sorry I do not have photos but that is all I show for rear seat wiring. The diagram image may not be 100% accurate but its what I am working off of.

Thanks again Benny, I see what harness it is now. Basically a jumper harness. I received your PM and thank you for that as well.

Looks like I have some purchases to make now.

Cant wait to conduct the full write-up to hopefully help someone out in the future.

From what I can see the front seat harness is responsible for carrying circuits to the Rear Switches

The body harness then is responsible for bringing the circuit to the rear seats

Thanks again for all the help, I just placed the order. I have a favor to ask on my order #520268. The shipping address was auto-populatd to Clearfield, UT. I need it to reflect Clinton, UT. For some reason this happens a lot, newer subdivision. Sometimes when the address says Clearfield and not Clinton, it gets returned to sender, everything else is correct its just the town.

Thanks again.

Benny, approx how much would this mod run?

We are at about 420.00 with the rear pads and wiring only. The front seat harnesses and switches are needed from what I can see as well as the body harness which carries the wiring rearwards based on the schematic I included above. I would sit tight and wait for wayned87's findings.

Long story short, it was pretty exp to go new. So I waited and found some parts from a 2015 Laramie that was wrecked. Bought those parts as I ended up spending about 20% of the new cost.

After I got all the parts swapped I used AlfaOBD to enable the items. So far all works as normal as it should.

The power actually comes from the under the fuse box if I recall correctly. It was a pain to swap everything out. But at the time I wanted to get it done, and new wasn't in my budget.

I am interested in this as well, 2014 ram 1500 sport, just wondering if my body harness has the necessary wiring for the rear seats. My truck came with power/heated/vented seats in the front. So I am thinking I just need a new seat harness so that i can wire the buttons in the console.

Wayned87,
I have a 2015 that the same has been done, seat swap etc.etc. I am NOT having any luck with the Alpha OBD. Alpha tells me to use a "BLUE" connector. Than a mssg says to not use any connector?
Any Guidance is much appreciated.

Do you have the correct bluetooth obdII connector? I am not sure about that message.
