Haven't seen anyone on the forums post up these tires with a level, so figured I'd throw some pics up. These are on a 2" level, which has me sitting almost dead even. Goodyear Ultra Terrain 285/65/20s. Overall I'm pretty happy with the results. Would have preferred the 35s, but wasn't able to find an installer willing to put them on a 8" rim and to be honest I'm probably better off with a bit narrower tire when it comes to rain and snow anyways.

Looks good. Those are the new GY design, right? Have you had them on long enough to have any opinions about wet traction?

Yep those are the new designs. Other than driving it home I haven't put a lot of time on the tires, want to get it aligned first. Its supposed to rain for the next few days so I'm hoping to get it aligned today or tomorrow and then go for a spin. Rain traction was one of my big reasons for going with these over some other popular options. They got super high rain and snow reviews everywhere I looked.

Great choice! I think they fill wheel well perfectly & just a hair past fender, looks really good. I went with the 12.5s 35” & have to add 1” spacers due to rubbing on uca D9A5C995-400B-416F-A3CF-C8532E5AAA48.jpeg

I have these in a 275/60/20 on my stock ‘17 big horn. Pretty good in the winter. Downright scary in the rain, though. I can get squirmy putting the pedal down at 60+ mph with them. Cant hardly take off quick at a stop light without them breaking loose. Definitely have to be careful in the rain.

Interesting they work well in the winter but not in the rain. Usually the key to both is siping.

I really like the way they look. Perfect choice in tire size for the level OP.

I have Duratracs on our JKUR and the 1500. Look just like your ultra terrains. Are they the same tire with a different name?

dura-Tracs are more aggressive, more void space than the ultra.

From what I could find on the web they are a discount tire exclusive and borrow some of their design from the duras. They were made to compete with the K02s. I did drive them after a rain yesterday and they weren't bad at all. Exactly what I'd expect traction wise from an all terrain. Ran them up to 70mph and they had very little groan at speed. As far as initial impressions I have zero regrets thus far. Again my main purchase decisions were wet/snow traction and road manners(within the more aggressive looking tires market) The price and the low weight were a bonus.

so update, finally got it out in the rain and on a highway speed road trip.

Rain - They perform just like any other A/T i've had. Do they break loose easier? Well yea they are an A/T and not an all season radial. Did I think it was any worse or better than any other KO2 or whatever A/T? Nope, bout average. So yes you will definitely notice a wet traction difference going from the stock SRA to this A/T, same as pretty much any A/T out there, thats just the tradeoff.

Highway - Lets just go ahead and state the obvious. You are going from a 4ish ply SL rating to a 10ply E rating(not actually 10plys as the ratings are now 'equivalent to' references). Much stiffer sidewall tire, means much stiffer ride. I definitely noticed it above say 68 in regards to bump compliance. You will feel pretty much every bump in the road, vs. the more spongy ride of the SRA that soaks up the minor bump/vibrations. So if you value highway speed comfort as a top priority you may want to try before you buy to see your own personal tolerances. Bothers me, but the wife didnt seem to notice that much. I did feel these were a bit worse than some of the other A/Ts i've had. Per my prior post around town speeds and below 65 its just fine, zero ride difference.

So after a month of ownership and a 700 mile road trip I'm still pretty happy. I did have to take it back to have the tires rebalanced, which seems to be a common issue with these, but again nothing that wasn't quickly fixed. Id advise that you have them road force balances, which is something i do for all big/heavy tires. Only thing I'll be looking to correct is the 65+ bump compliance, so now I get to go down the shocks/struts rabbit hole to see what kind of upgrades are out there which some increased damping capabilities. I played around with the air pressures and looks like 42psi seems to be about the sweet spot. Seems the stiffer sidewalls require a bit more pressure to bump out the center of the tread.
