SO,....just asking guys as I've tried searching and came up with zero results.
Does the 5th gen Ram only come in regular and crewcab configurations? Not interested in the regular cabs as they aren't the rcsb type. No more extended cabs for the 5th gen?

I don't like that the black under the headlights is not the same as the colour of the truck. No metallic in it. Some days it is very noticeable.

Hard to see in this photo, will have to get one so you can see what i mean

When you say extended cab, you mean the quad cab, right? Cuz they have those but only up to the Rebel.

Wait a minute, in reference of John’s post, are you talking about that painted plastic piece between the front bumper and the bottom of your headlights? If so, I thought that piece; just like on the fourth GENs, was supposed to be painted the same color as the truck. Maybe you need to take it back to the dealer and say hey what the hell?

I Agree. I researched pretty thoroughly and it appears that no one makes the Torsen
style limited slip for the 1500 axle.

Do the fender flares have the metallic in them? It is quite possible they simply installed the wrong plastics under the lights.

2019 Classic. I was disappointed that it didn't come with a trailer brake controller. I should have negotiated it into the deal. Oops.

I was trying to do the two levels after the Rebel and couldn't do the quad cab. :crazy:

What trim level is that 5th gen.. notice the bumper is that unpainted color too. I’m thinking either it’s a built to serve edition (not sure if they were available in black) or trademans. Either way unless optioned otherwise that’s how they come.

Wish I had asked them to throw in a brake controller. My bad.

Rear window seems to take a long time to defog.

Other than that, love it so far.

About the only thing I can really say I don't like is that ugly-ass rotary shifter. I would much rather see push-button or even a stick on the column. The rest of the truck is near perfection! Oh yea... I wish I could get 50/60mpg! ;-)

I don't think it was an option I selected in the EVIC, but when I hook up the trailer wiring my rear park sensors automatically turn off.

Also, I have my rear brake assist turned off, as I would never be able to back into my garage with it turned on.

And your complaint about not wanting a crew is one of the reasons I won't consider a TRX. Like the Laramie Longhorn and Limited, they are only offered in full crew, but only with the 5'7" box.

You’re correct about the TRX but the Laramie Longhorn and Limited although are only offered in Crew Cabs, but you can get them in either the 5’7” bed or the 6’4” bed in both of what’s left of the 2020’s and in the new 2021’s.

Yes, I guess I didn't make that clear, but did know it. Quad cab is the perfect compromise for me, but even the 6'4" bed is a bit smaller than I'd like. Wish they used the same frame as the 5'7" CC on the QC, then the bed could be 6'8".

Yes, hard pass on the crew cab for me.
I love the TRX, but not wanting the crew cab at all, although it does look pretty awesome on the TRX.

Talking just below the headlights. Look at this.. Excuse the dirt but you can clearly see the difference in paint. No metallic in the plastic. Will have to find another built to serve edition and see if it has the same issue.
