Hellwig has the best one I’ve seen. Found in stock at Summit Racing. Nick@GotExhaust has them cheaper here on forum but in back order. I came across another one but it looked like their end links were dodgy.

Found them on Auto Anything for $270.

:anitoof: I like how people are talking more about this kit now that it's discontinued than they ever did while it was in production.

$1000 price reduction does that!
The reality is that AEV should have priced this $300-$400 above other 4” lifts not a full $1000. My bet is this lift would be immensely more popular had they priced it closer to the average.

Yeah no kidding. Now that it’s finally affordable it’s out of production. It’s a great kit with a lot of fun bguneering behind it. I’d love to put my truck through it’s paces some day. If I ever find any trails around here good enough. Lol

I couldn’t agree more.

When I lifted my Ram in 2015 the AEV kit did not yet exist, or I would have talked myself into buying it at that time. In a way I am kinda glad I didn't because for my use of the truck 4" of lift and 35" tires go past the point of utility and into the realm of compromise. Undoubtedly cool to look at though and I'm certain the AEV kit drives really well.

Given that they went to the trouble of tooling up for the parts I wonder if they're going to sell that tooling to somebody.. the dies for the skid plate and for the aluminum knuckles has to be worth some pretty good coin and I suspect people will be lifting 4th gen Rams in a commercially approachable volume for another ten years

Brilliant question. Let’s hope they do and we see these go mainstream.

Those are some awesome points. I will say the only problem I have with the 4 inch lift right now is access to the bed it’s not as easy as it was before. Other than that I find no change really in day-to-day use or utility of my truck.

That being said this suspension system is a really well thought out kit and though I would not have spent the money on the full price I understand why they charge more for it but I do agree a lower price would have made it more approachable for many owners. It would be a shame if they don’t allow someone else to use of the suspension design but I don’t see it happening. They have not done it with any of their other discontinued suspension systems.

Besides the rear sway bar the other thing I will be changing as the rear coil springs as the factory springs are terrible for maintaining any kind of weight especially when towing.

Speaking strictly about my own truck and lifestyle the compromises come into play like half the miles on my ram are from long trips and highway MPG matters when you've got 2 or more cross continent trips per year. And the price of tires, and whether a full size spare fits under the bed, and how well the truck handles going fast on familiar routes, how well it brakes when wildlife pops out to say howdy, I can park inside my garage to keep the sun off, keep birds from using it as a toilet and help keep all my neighbors honest.. all that stuff goes higher on my list than looking bad ass.

Not knocking style and I don't mean that with any sarcasm, your truck looks better than mine does and it's no different from a nice haircut or good fitting clothes you gotta feel your best to do your best so if the drawbacks I've talked about don't come into play for you then you made the right call.

On the other side of the equation what I'm giving up by not going bigger.. well the truck goes where I need it to and I can't say I've ever thought damn if I only had another inch or two.. :anitoof:

All that stuff may not apply to everyone the same way but it's why I'm glad in retrospect that this kit didn't exist when I lifted my Ram - else I'd have it and my paint would be more beat up from parking outside all this time :hat:

@kurek having listed after AEV since the first time I saw a wrangler truck conversion, it has been a long time coming. I really wanted this lift when I saw the Recruit but just couldn’t do 1k over. Just too much for my sensibilities. But now it’s a gift. The rear should t be too bad since it only goes up 2.5 inches. I recently did turn around on two trails while scouting elk and it irked me no end. Looking forward to my deer hunt and getting into some good places in December.

Good points again. I’m used to the ridiculous cost of 35” tires because I’ve had them on my truck with the level kit. $300-400 is insane but I’ve come to accept it.

I totally forgot about garages. I don’t use mine. We have a one car under house garage on the opposite side of the house as the driveway. Go figure.

I work out of a rock quarry so my truck gets trashed every day. I’ve given up caring about the paint. Lol

I agree though making long trips like that I wouldn’t want a lifted truck. I’d want a Rebel TRX! :D

What kind of vehicle I'd love to be in for long trips changes depending on the weather and what time of day it is... in any given day there's probably a part where I'd love to do that stretch on a real nimble dual sport bike with no bags and other parts I'd like to be fast asleep in the back of a van and wake me up when we get there :Big Laugh:

Well, FedEx Santa brought FOUR boxes today. Somehow one box ended up in some place called Ganado, AZ. I don’t even think that’s a real place. Arrrrgggg.

Ugh, that’s terrible, are they going to get you the package or do you need to contact the seller/AEV?

@DamnRam1500 did you pick out new rear springs already? I think there is a Tuf Trucks brand I see on here from time to time? Which my bed mounted RTT I figure I may need to either add a bigger spacer or replace the stock springs with slightly stiffer ones.
