This is my third DiamondBack. Weather tight, secure/lockable, and I can haul stuff on top or easily remove a section or the whole thing in minutes. Plus we stand on it when needed, had 6 full size guys on it before watching a nascar race.

Hey, getting soon my 2021 2500 6'4" night version Granite 4x4! Looking at BAK F1. Even the sales rep doesn't know if it fits with the RamBox and with the Bed Utility Group. Anybody know? Likely the same as 2019 or 2020....TIA

Been on my truck since new is a tri-fold Mopar canvas cover. Very easy to remove and install. The floor of my truck looks brand new as nothing has touched the actual floor since new!! I've had 2 layers of coverings on it since new as well. Yes my truck did come with a spray in box liner from factory.

I have the Bakflip MX4 on my truck but it does leak around the corners. Not a ton but I would not put anything you dont want wet back around the corners.

I've had a Retrax Pro on mine since 2013. It's done a great job. A little bit of water leaks into the bed, but not much. The biggest con is that the box that holds the rolled up cover takes up a good bit of the bed space. I can only stack stack about 6 or 7 sheets of 5/8" drywall in there if memory serves.

That’s what mine did and that’s why I got rid of it. Security was a plus but also keeping the inside of my bed dry was one of the biggest pluses of all.

I don’t know if you’ve ever had to use your bed in such a way that almost any other non-roll up or fold up cover would’ve gotten in the way of or not but that style of cover, that’s the price you pay for being able to lock that cover in any open position and use over and above your bed rails in your truck bed without having to take your cover off.

Primarily when I had that cover, if I ever needed to haul anything that any other cover opposite from the types mentioned above would’ve gotten in the way of, I’d just put it on my little trailer but really, the one and only time when that cover came in handy for being the style cover that it is, was the day when I had to go down to the tire shop to buy me a new set a tires and being able to open up and lock that cover in whatever position is what allowed me to stack all the tires up in the bed of my truck.

Sorry, I didn't read through all the replies... But I think that most manufactures of the bedliners have improved over the years. I am going with a cheap Gator ETX rollup. I do not like the tri-fold because if I need the entire bed to store something big, the tri-fold gets in the way. That's just my preference. The Gator is cheap (under $200) on amazon. Sure, it isn't the most water-tight or strongest... but it works and looks pretty good. Also helps on the aero-dynamics for fuel.

Unless it was one of those aluminum-paneled Diamondback covers like this dude has, I don’t think I’d wanna trust any other tonneau cover manufacturers word on how much weight they claim it’ll support on top of it but that’s just me.

I had an Undercover Classic on an F150 6.5' bed previously. At the time, I weighed 285 lbs, and walked all over it more than once. At 240 now, I wouldn't even consider standing on top of my Extang Solid Fold.

Hmm. Well, if my Undercover Elite was painted to match, it might be strong enough to walk on but I dunno, I just wouldn’t feel comfortable walking on it or stackin’ **** on it unless it was that aluminum one I was talking about.

Factory tri-fold for three years and counting. Looking at a Bakflip when the OEM gives out.

I admit I was hesitant the first time, but after that, no concerns. It is molded ABS (I believe) with gussets/beams molded into it. It is stronger than people think it is.

I went with a Gator EFX hard cover on my new truck. Set me back about 3x the cost of the soft cover I had on my old truck. I wanted something a little more secure and hopefully hold up better. Thought about a camper shell, but to much $$$. This was a good in between for the price.

It's definitely more sleek and low profile. So far so good. Haven't seen rain until today, so I will have to check fir leaks later and follow up.

Super easy to install too.
I did a little how to vid with my initial impressions.

Just installed a Diamondback HD. HAd the Retrax Pro MX for almost 4 years. Retrax was great but I really missed that extra room taken by the front canister. The smooth black looks nice. Now I need to install a few of the cleats.

Had a access tonneau for 6 years. Was still a great cover. Decided I needed a hard cover got a deal on a bakflip mx4 great cover would highly recommend. Also allows the full use of bull rings on top. Even with cover closed.

The OEM is a hot pile of garbage and lasted 2 years before delaminating.
The Bakflip delimitated after 6 years.
