Just wanted say thanks for your input on the exhaust. I purchased a Magnaflow Y pipe, 3” inner with duals 2 1/2” outers and 2 24” straight pipes with 2 1/2”s outers/inners and put it in place of the Flowmaster muffler.Truck sounds great. Thanks again and all for just over 100.00.

Thanks for the words and I’ll be purchasing your oil kit for both my vehicles next spring.

Good to see Nick is taking care of you, as he seems to do with pretty much everyone on the site. Good stuff!

Have any vids of the new setup?

Nope but I can grab some pics, mind you I did this in lieu of spending 1200 on a new catback.
I had Flowmaster’s American Thunder cat back dual out’s on it and the muffler and tail pipes were rotting out. I got lucky being able to salvage all but about 10 inches of the dual outs as the were rotting right at weld by the outlets from the muffler. The muffler started to split so I just took it off and put the Y pipe in there with new straight pipes feeding into Flowmasters that were already hung.
I could post a video but to be honest I am in the dark on how to do it, if anyone can guide me through I video it. Mind you the tail pipes from just about the muffler back are pretty ragged looking, no rot wholes or nothing like that but you can see why I didn’t have it welded.
I figured if muffler clamps were good enough for my 70 Olds 442 big block they are good enough for my hemi!

So after a day of driving the Truck with the new set up all I can say is wow, what a difference in response. I really didn’t think it would do as much as it has with all the damn computers adjusting air/fuel ratio’s, pedal input etc.....but it really uncorked it. I know the difference when I built carbureted motor’s and threw headers, exhaust, bigger carbs etc....and although not as dramatic it made a noticeable improvement.
