its a S/C 360 ... 784 cars ever built..... this one is 1 of 304 go pac cars. .. the green one is her car. a 71 SST 304 car ...... 1 of 137 ever built. .... all the rest were 6cly cars

Growing up my buddies 1st car was a powder blue 71 hornet, straight 6. We thought it was the ugliest car in town but it beat walking. Your 2 cars are pretty cool looking though. Not sure if I have mellowed or if tires and paint packages make that big a difference.
What I remember most about his old car was the A/C had a Desert Only setting!

Got a soft spot for AMC's myself,always liked the little 71 360 S/C's,they didn't get enough respect,considering they were quicker then 340 Dusters/Demons were in 71. I ran a 74 hatchback Hornet X for years as a kid,Original 304 car/3 speed car,basically identical to the one James Bond drove through the plate glass window and did the barrel roll with in "The Man With The Golden Gun",except mine had the white interior,same orange colour and stripe package,lol.Ran a healthy 401 /4 speed in it for awhile,till i ran out of toploaders,then swapped it over to a built 998 auto,car was running low 11's when i sold it. Loved that little car as a street race toy,as nobody knew what a AMC was or gave them any respect,lol
