Hello everyone, my name is Matt. I recently bought a 2019 ram 1500 big horn with the 5.7 hemi. It is white with the sport package and 20 inch chrome rims. I love the way the truck looks over all. The part where I need help is the truck has halogen headlights and fog lights and I want to change them to led’s but ones that are white but have that slight hint of blue ( love that color). Here’s a few pictures of the truck:

Good looking truck. Trucks come in two colors - white and wrong..............[emoji106]

Sorry, can't help you much on the headlight thing though.

Give the guys at Lasfit a call as they have top notch techs who know what they’re doing and believe in customer service. Plus, they have videos so you can see what is involved installing them as well as back the sale with great customer service.

Trust me, you can do much better with Lasfit or another vendor based upon my experience with Underground Lighting.

He sent me the wrong bulbs despite bragging he has done this for years and zero instructions were included with any of it. Just text and phone calls to get it all sorted out - what a joke! Expensive junk, poor customer service and an arrogant attitude when I did call because I had never installed LED bulbs and had no idea they had to be vertical instead of horizontal or vice versa - again, no instructions provided at all!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DOING BUSINESS WITH UNDERGROUND LIGHTING.

I am sorry you feel this way. You have the brand new 2020 and they made a change on the bulb size which we were not aware of. We Exchanged them for you no problem. Sorry if you felt we gave you an attitude, that was not our attention at all. We dont offer step by step instructions as every vehicle is different for accessing the bulbs. The bulbs are plug and play remove the old one and replace with the new one. No Extra wiring or steps needed. You needed help like you stated we spoke on the phone and texted, walking you step by step. Most people would say that is great customer service.
We also got a 2020 in after you placed your order and we took pictures and posted a quick how to on the forum. We try our best to offer the best quality and service. I am truly sorry you feel the way you do.

Plug and play - not...when you have to explain which way the bulb had to be oriented (vertically versus horizontally)...it is not plug and play.

And then to have one of the low beams go out a month after installation, I decided it was time to cut my losses. At night in rural Texas it gets damned dark and I need lights I can depend upon. I ordered a complete Lasfit set, ripped your crap out, tossed it all in the garbage, installed the Lasfit set and have had ZERO issues with installation or performance since that time.

It was money wasted purchasing your product...and I’m simply ensuring others don’t waste their money too. Oh sure, you’ll come back with the “I would have replaced it or refunded your money” line but I lost faith in your product at that point and really don’t believe a refund would have been forthcoming.

P.S. The low beam went out 48 miles from the house on a rural highway. And our local sheriff passed me and decided I needed a damned “fix-it” ticket. I explained they were new LEDs that I had installed a month earlier and he said maybe I needed to buy better LEDs. Lesson learned.

I’m a forgiving man and wanted to put this little nightmare behind me but also make sure others don’t make the same mistake.

We have a 30 day return policy, of course, you would have gotten a refund had you chosen to return the product during that time. You didn't reach out to us to let us know of any issue until now. This product is backed by our 2 year warranty so we'd have happily worked to meet your expectations even well outside of the 30 day return period. Plug and play means unplug and re plug the bulb with no modifying to your system. Our led is adjustable 360 degrees where most are not, we pre-set them for the right position 3 and 9 o'clock facing leds. Sometimes they need to be adjusted, as we explained to you when you reached out. To make the necessary adjustment simply loosen the set screw on the led spin the collar and tighten it back down. We are always here to help troubleshoot with any issues that may arise. We work hard in responding to our customers within an hour or less. Customer service is our top priority.

I looked it up.

Purchase date was 26 May 2020
Ticket date was 2 July 2020

The failure was outside of your 30 day return policy and I had zero faith in your product at that point to avail myself of a warranty. I wasn’t about to put my family at risk with another failure or get another love letter handed to me by the county sheriff!

And yes, I did have to call you numerous times to get the correct bulb sent to me, get instructions verbally as no written instructions or video was available, and be your guinea pig for this little project. And $467 (just for your LEDS) lighter for the experience.

@Underground Lighting has phenomenal responsive customer service that has taken care of A LOT of forum members which I have been thanked many times via pm’s for my write up that I did explaining how to install them properly. @NorthStar1 if you had questions why didn’t you do your research on this forum and ask the questions you had? I have had Underground lighting bulbs in my truck for 2 ish years without even a flicker but I am 100% positive that if I did have an issue they would do their best to take care of it. Don’t come on here and try to bash a respectable preferred vendor when your problem is clearly user error. I will link my instructions below. And we are here to help one another

You have your opinion, I have mine based upon the events of May to July 2020.

Did you even bother to read my posts and the problem I had back then?

After that fiasco, I wouldn’t recommend Underground Lighting to ANYONE! As for user error, I followed his verbal instructions to a T with over a dozen phone calls, texts and even IMs on this site. The LED simply failed and I was done with his Mickey Mouse operation - especially after paying twice the price of the LASFIT set I installed after his failed...which has performed flawlessly.

Again, my opinion...and you are certainly entitled to yours.

And I realize we are here to help each other...that is why I gave my opinion to the OP to help him avoid problems.

P.S. Your post should be information the OP utilizes in making his decision.

I too researched the hell out of bulbs, brands and decided to go with Underground Lighting because of your post and the fact they are a forum sponsor. Heck, Nick at GotExhaust and my posts about him should clearly tell you how loyal I am to sponsors.

Unfortunately, my experience with Underground Lighting was not near as positive as yours. And the ticket from the county sheriff for a non-functioning headlight was just icing on the cake. This was my first ticket in 29 years and it didn’t set well over something that was not my fault (the fan was clearly not working on the LED that was out).

I’m getting ready to order a set for my daughter-in-laws new 2020 Ram and actually considered giving UL another shot but got as you can imagine am a little shy about installing something in her truck that could be an issue on a dark country road.
