Caps are kind of like a shock absorber on your suspension smoothing out your ride. When your electrical system can't keep up, it will help smooth out the power delivery. They are not a replacement for nicer batteries and power wires and good grounding.

FYI, I am running three amplifiers in my stock charging system and have zero headlight flickering. I have a big 3 upgrade and a nice AGM battery.

You will replace the following three connections with large gauge 100% oxygen free copper wires, Battery negative to chassis ground, chassis ground to engine ground and alternator charge wire to positive battery.

cheap power wire can rob you of the REAL amps power.

Good ground can work wonders. I run a soundQubed amp that at 1 ohm runs a steady 1150 ish watts and around 1600 when bass hits(is what amp dyno showed) powering 2 kappa 1200w subs(12 inch) and have the stock alpine amp running interior and no electrical upgrades and even turned up to clipping I get very little light surge. Also running 2ga pos and 1ga for ground.

I would upgrade your amp wire from 8 guage to 4 guage. As far as your lights flickering just get a larger battery and that should your flickering issue.
