Some explain to me in simple terms why and if off road pages is useful?

Just fluff as far as I’m concerned. I don’t need any more distractions in the dash.
Proper design of automotive controls IMO requires that each control can be identified by touch as well as be able to determine what position the switch, knob, etc is in. Without looking at it.

Apparently automotive designers don’t agree with me.

The one electronic feature I do find useful is the 360 / front view cameras. Considering the hood blocks your view so frequently on the trail, it’s really useful.
And FCA’s nannies managed to make it needlessly hard to use. Go too fast and it switches off. So the next time you slow down and get in a tight spot, you’ll have to take your eyes off the trail and locate the button on the touchscreen to reactivate it. :emotions122:

I wonder if the nannies can be dialed out with Tazer?

A few years ago I was in a Jeep trailhawk with the OFP which was the first time I had seen them. We go into some pretty steep grades so it was fun to watch how steep it was getting just over 20% if I remember correctly. I think they can be helpful *for a passenger* to monitor but if you are off road you need to keep your eye on the road and not on the fancy electronics.

The speed limiter. Is this something that can be reprogrammed via a chip or something? My buddy was able to turn off the camera speed limiter on his 2020 Ford F-350.

I just bought a 2020 PW and thought for sure that the off road pages would be a part of the 12” display, but it appears not. Since the PW is an off roading rig, it just seems like a weird oversight.

My wife's Trailhawk has them.
We checked them out when we first bought it and, while a cool feature, we've never looked at them again.
I could care less if my PW had them.
I do however like the ORP in the EVIC that shows your diff and sway bar status.

It's marketed for those of, "extreme wealth, cosmopolitanism, and adventurous social life." The rest of us it's GPS and/or a topo map, a few extra gals. of water and gas when Lima Lima Mike Foxtrot.

Total fluff never needed. It’s there to inspire people who have never went off road so they can smash the crap out of there truck and keep the dealerships busy lol

My 2021 non anniversary package does have the offroad pages. The speeds when the cameras turn off absolutely needs to be raised.

Never realized it before but the best thing about the off road pages is the look on your buddy’s face when you pull it up as your showing off your new truck lol.
