Just ordered the eibach lift coils and eibach adjustable struts. I have an EcoDieel so they do have a different part # for the coils...assuming to deal with the extra engine weight. I'm trying to achieve as close to 3 inches of lift possible. I have ReadyLift UCA's installed. Any input as to which clip setting I should use on the struts to get my desired lift would be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Cheers

I think guys are going directly to the second clip. Hopefully eibach sorted out their coil spring issues with them being less than advertised. No more 6112s?

Hey Hodge brother! Yes I'm throwing in the towel. Could never really get the ride/lift combo I wanted. Too harsh at max setting and just not enough lift. I added some 1/2 inch spacers for a more level stance but it just made for a harsher ride over bumpy roads.....great on smooth blacktop though. I came to the realization that at the end of the day the 6112's are overkill .... I'm 90% on road vs off road so I'm going to give the eibach's a shot and see if I can't achieve both my goals of more lift and smoother ride. Got a great deal up here in Canada on struts and spring package so all is good. I'll also be installing a 3" body lift to kick off the new year. I'll post pics when I'm all done.

Is there a market for low mileage , lightly used Bilstien 6112's? If so what do you guys think a reasonable ask would be?

@crazykid1994 is actually considering a set. Maybe you guys could hash out something.

I feel you on the 6112s. Mine have been GREAT, but again, under our diesels we reach the limit of adjustability and ride. Both suffer in some way with compromises. I'll be rehashing my setup this spring as well. I just can't seem to get it right so I have up.

I'm gonna be trying the new Old Man Emu set up myself

Sweet!.....Tried and true that ole Emu setup! Looking forward to reading about your new chapter in the suspension Chronicles. Have you seen any input on the Eibach setup on the Eco? I see the lift spring is Eco specific so maybe redesigned for our extra weight up front? Any thoughts?

I haven't really followed much with eibach, they had such a debacle going it was hard to follow. If they got their collective **** together and figured out a separate coil for the diesels you would be good, hopefully. I do know guys were still going to the second clip. Maybe set them at the low height and see what happens. Surely sucks having to adjust them multiple times, but it's safer than a surprise in the wrong direction which would require immediate adjusting anyways

I know I shouldn't assume but I'm betting Eibach figured it out if they made a coil specifically for our Eco D's....I'm looking forward to testing this theory! Thanks for the input Hodge I always appreciate it

I don't have a Diesel, but I installed the Eibach Kit on the lowest setting and got a straight 2.5 inches. Each setting should represent .75 inches is my understanding.

Hey Hodge, I just came to the realization that I'm going to need parts for my install. I turfed my OEM coils not thinking I'd ever need them. Now I'm going to have to find some bottom coil seats and jounce bumpers as the 6112's components aren't compatible. I can't for the life of me find the part # for those seats.....any idea?
Also do you think I can reuse the top mount spring isolator assembly?

Cheers

As far as I can tell nobody manufactures a lower spring seat compatible with the OEM one.

There's the lower seat that ProComp makes, but it's not at the same elevation relative to the snap ring so it would necessarily lift or lower if you used it on a different 2" shock body that was channeled for OE seats.

Your best bet if you need lower seats is to order a couple OEM take-off shocks on ebay, steal the seats and then see if you can re-unload them to somebody who just needs to replace their shocks. Yes that's dumb, but also yes that's the exact thing Bilstein suggested to me when I asked them so it's their dumb not my dumb.

As Kurek mentioned, you're stuck trying to find a cheap set of front oem struts for the spring seat. The top hat's and all that hardware are the same so you're good there using the new stuff off your 6112s.

It would make life much easier if they had a seat that paired with the struts instead of using oem stuff.

Bummer! Thanks for the info though. I just called my local Dodge dealership and they said they'd put aside the next pair that comes out of a Ram and I can "steal" the seats...... mighty nicel of them I must say.

How many miles on them? What would shipping be to
Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411
Thanks @hodge-xj
If I was able to pull my 5100 you could have the spring perch from those but I can’t without having something else to install on hand. Unless you can be down for a bit

Hey Crazy Kid, very low miles as I live in a small community...Gibsons B.C. accessable only by ferry so not too much driving around here.....haven't even been offroad yet! I'm going to guess around 5000 km or less (around 3000 miles). I'm thinking $350 USD but shipping might be killer to Florida, I'll have to inquire Canada Post about that or maybe a better option would be through one of the big courier companies. I'll get back to you.

Damn shipping is ridiculous. Did a couple of quick quotes and the cheapest I could find was $250.00 economy ground. Even converted to USD that's still around $200....ouch. Weight is a killer
Damn. I wish there was a cheaper way. I’m honestly interested in them but that shipping is steep

Quick thought. When that eibach kit shows up can you measure the length of the front and rear coils please.
