its completely transparent. Depending on quality and brand it’s totally naked to the eye.
I know it's transparent but the powerdercoated bumpers on the power wagon have a texture to them. I doubt it would stick all they well. I could be wrong though. I'd love to be proved wrong.

I personally wouldn't wrap any part that was powder coated. That stuff is pretty tough on it's own.

To do the whole truck is 6000$ for the top of line 10 year, 4000$ for the 5 year.

Then I'm definitely out. Protection shouldn't cost more than repair.

But... how could it possibly be that much? The truck has slab sides. Figure 2-3 hours per side at $100/hour plus material? An all day project shouldn't be more than $1,500. $6k would be a guy working on it full time for the majority of the week. Doesn't seem right.

Or maybe this isn't the material I'm thinking of... I just want a clear cover. I don't care how shiny it is. It just needs to keep the branches off the side of the truck. If it gets destroyed no worries.

I’m an XPEL fan over 3M, and yes, I wrapped the front of my 1500 Limited and regret not doing a full side wrap. I plan on doing this to the PW when I finally get it ordered and delivered. Taking forever due to color availability.
According to some guy from california that I chat with (he ordered go mango as well) he claims to have heard rumor the anvil and go mango runs are done and won't come back...I would think they will this early....

Going to order my 75A later this afternoon.
I'm debating on the dual alternators. PRO: More amps for running the winch, recharging the battery and running the vehicle systems. CON: One more thing that could break or wear out.

I ordered mine a few days ago and did not get the dual alternators. Just personal choice. Figured it was one more thing to go wrong.

My Fiancé and I have come to the agreement that we (I) need a new vehicle. I said that I would take one for the team and get a truck because borrowing my bother and his truck is getting old and I don't own a vehicle made in this century. The only tuck I will take is a Power Wagon. Fast forward a year or so, everything is lining up perfectly to get a 2021 Power Wagon which happens to be the 75th anniversary. Guys I feels so lucky that I'm getting the opportunity. After a few phone calls, only one dealer put in any effort to get a build put together with an offer (see picture below, green numbers is the selling price). I kind of went all out with options since it is my dream truck

My Questions... I feel the price is in the ball park similar to what you guys are paying. Do I spend the time to try to get other dealers to bid lower? What are the options to get or avoid? I think dual alternators is a must rather have it and not need it than the other way around. I'm 70/30 on the ram boxes. Love the idea but scared one day they might get in the way.

I guess I don't see the need for dual alternators myself, but that's me...I figure one more thing to spin and I don't need it..I didn't get the safety group...I got a sunroof because the sun makes me happy! I got a block heater as well because of where I live..mn. I do kind of wish I would of got the towing technogy group (that's got the front camera right?) Or at least the wiring. I would personally get another price. And I wouldn't give them the numbers you have. I'd say here's my build what's your best number no bs....even if someone beats it if you like the dealer you talked to first I'd maybe give them a chance to match...my guy is so honest and on top of things and is the.largest.ram dealer in minnesota...best trade best everything....I checked once...holy cow same truck...7k more at another dealer!!!!

It’s a good price for the options you have listed. A good friend has ram boxes and says it’s his favourite feature. So I put them on my build. Unless you have a real purpose for running dual alt, its a wasted upgrade. It’s not a lot of additional fuel every day, but over the life of the truck it will be far more than the cost of the alternator.

I have a 4500 being built as well as a PW. I was considering a dual alt for the 4500 because it will have a 16ft box on it with lights etc. The fabrication company making my box, said it’s a waste of money. They said the only commercial buyers that get 2 (that he sees) are ambulances.

I have a rule of thumb. If you can get it cheaper from the get go then it costs to add later, do it. You can nickel and dime yourself yes but don't short change yourself either. I have dual alternators in my truck. You never know what you might plan to do electronics wise. Why not. As for the ram boxes, I love mine. I ended up tossing a lot of things in there that I normally wouldn't carry. Tie down straps, tools, my fire grass gear, etc. If you have a big ass wheeler it might change your mind because if you plan to put on a tonneau cover it probably won't fit because of the side rails. With ram boxes you can't have a topper. Food for thought. The diamondback tonneaus are more useful if you have no ram boxes too. The surface is bigger for loading stuff on. I'd do the block heater because it's a cheap add on. I'm putting one in mine and it's 165 bucks now and the time to do it myself. It's close to 400 at a dealer. Bed utility for sure because of the spray in, lights, and step. Big ass trucks and it's a big step to get in. If you do the ram box do the utility group. That divider is like 700 bucks by itself. The cargo view camera is nice in case you have a load and want to see if it shifts. Plus the light looks good in black. All the black aftermarket options are kinda ******. My 2 cents. All the other technology crap I'm not a fan of but I know some people like the adaptive cruise control and stuff. I have it on our Durango and it kind of annoys me because I get behind someone and don't pay attention and then realize I've been going 5 miles per hour slower than I normally would have for like 10 miles. haha

Towing Tech is mostly cameras, bed view camera and 360 view including the front one. If I was buying a Toyota then I know where to go but for Rams i have no idea. I don't trust my local dealer, everyone says good things but Ignorance could be in play

Did not dawn on me at all about the added fuel consumption of the dual alternator. In a pinch, one could take the aux belt off the second alternator. It wont be a daily more utility and play. My main concern is that winch. probably wont be often used but that one time at night with all the extra light on, winching and charging power tool batteries and my laptop. I'm mostly joke but who knows

I'm glad you mention the after market prices. The reinforces my thoughts on those packages. I fell in love with adaptive cruise after I borrowed a rav4 that had it. On numerous occasions I did get stuck behind a slow person and didnt realize. What was worse was it would not get close enough on to the car in font of me people would happily cut right in.

I got the dual alternator setup on my power wagon it’s wasn’t an option as I didn’t build the truck it was one on the lot.. it’s a extra $300 (cnd) which isn’t crazy idk how much draw would come from the winch but I know alternators don’t make their rates amps at idle. One option i don’t care for on my PW is the sunroof it takes away head space I’m 6’2” and my head is always hitting the liner and the back seat it even worse

After a long back and forth, I’ve decided to sell the stock rims when my truck comes. These have just been ordered. The gunmetal will match the grey badging. I love these rims and am super stoked to wrap them in the 35 Falken Wildpeaks I have already.
