For those who ordered their truck...

Curious, what was the time to ship it once it was built? RamCares told me my truck was out of the factory late January and approved to ship...but 2 weeks later (today) they told me the same thing. Once a truck is done, what is the average time for it to actually start moving in the general direction of the dealership?

Don't have first hand knowledge, but there are many different discussions about campers, autos and trucks, and other items either built but missing parts or have quality issues and they put units on the side until they complete, fix, and/or inspect them. In these weird times, you might be victim of one of these issues. Or delivery could be affected with people getting COVID. Hope you get it soon and post some pictures!

I traverse by SHAP and several of the holding lots that Ram uses to stage the vehicles before shipping. I've seen them go from empty to packed like a can of sardines and sometimes right back to empty within days. From what I've heard shipping is usually the hold up and the Covid-19 stuff doesn't help.
If your truck has any special graphics, spray in bed liner, etc. I will say the Mopar Custom Shop that does that is constantly backed up.

Well, mine does have the bedliner...so that makes sense, thanks. The dealer just told me that it is expected in 2-3 more weeks.. Five weeks seems a really long time to wait but I'll just have to be patient.

Amazing how times have changed. In 1966 one of my uncles ordered a new Galaxy 500 from the local dealer. I’m talking small farming town of <3,000 people. Dealer took him to the assembly plant in KC the day his new car was scheduled to be built. He followed the car down the assembly line from a catwalk and drove it home from the factory. It had a small engraved plate on the dash “specially built for: uncle’s name”. This was a rather generic Galaxy 500 4 door sedan, white w/blue interior. My uncle was not some dignitary, he was a simple farmer. But he did drive Fords exclusively and always ordered them new from the same dealership. Both his cars and pickups.

My truck was built on 1/23/20 and I took delivery on 2/19/20 so almost four weeks. My truck was built in Mexico and came on a train to NC. Not sure what you have ordered, but that makes a difference.

Ordered mine on 7/24 drove it home 9/15. Mine was the first '21 to come in, so I was kind of surprised I got it so soon.

The Ramcares rep I was chatting with ended up opening a case for me on the delivery status of my truck. I didn't ask for it but she did it anyway, which was cool. Today I received an email from a service representative who will track my delivery and get back to me, said it is now in the "delivery network ". We shall see what happens.

I wonder if I called my dealer and said "screw it I'm getting a Raptor"
they might expedite it a bit.
I was told 6-8 weeks when I placed the order...

Ordered mine 5-5-2020 and it showed up 7-25-2020. Signed papers 7-27-2020

First, I would like to say congratulations on ordering your all-new 2021 Ram 1500.

My name is Jeff and I will be monitoring your vehicle order throughout the build process.

At this present time, your vehicle is progressing through the shipping network en route to your ordering dealership. I have presently reached out to our logistics teams to both ensure your order is prioritized for the earliest possible delivery as well as to gather an estimated delivery window.

I will continue to monitor your order for additional delivery updates and I anticipate having further updates to share with you soon. I have set my next scheduled followup with you for March 1st at the absolute latest, but will reach out to you further as soon as there are additional updates to share on your order.

My CFO ordered 21 of the 21's (1500) on Jan 18th. I was told 8-10 weeks but I've been over promised enough times to be very skeptical. I'll believe it "if" I see it. My goal is to get all of these upfitted before the frost gets out of the ground here in MN. Minus 15 this morning so it might be awhile.

Local dealer has a couple on the lot do fly and drive. A new raptor would be nice tho. Life is too short to be aggravated. Is your dealership keeping you updated and treating you especially good?

No, they are a good dealership.
I think they're feeling a bit irritated by the delay too.
I have already negotiated my trade-in.
Plus they ordered it without requiring me to put any money down.
I talked to them yesterday and they already have all the accessories I wanted
( brush guard, side steps) ordered and on hand ready to install whenever it comes in.
They said it's sitting in Chicago and waiting for delivery and should be here next week.
But that's what they said 3 weeks ago so who knows...

Frankly my biggest fear is something happening to my current truck that's going to impact my trade in value, like smoking a deer or getting slid into by some idiot in summer tires.

The wait is a *****! I ordered my last 4 vehicles, and it doesn't get any easier with experience. But what a great feeling once you drive that thing off the lot for the first time. Hang in there, bro!

Not sure if this helps because I ordered back in 2015. Ordered a 2016 Ram Sport 4X4, rcsb on November 1st and got my truck almost exactly 7 weeks later.
