My 75a is in texas on its way. I would like you guys input. I can have the trim ring powder coated gloss black for like 150$ or step it up a notch and have them base coat clear coated the same color as the truck for 250$ pros and cons? What would look the best? Thanks!Screenshot_20210211-182629.png

Personally I'd go black for the ring. But that's me.

It will be interesting to see pics of the truck once you get it!

I think black looks awesome. I can’t believe it’s the same rim.

HOWEVER

Robert you know you have to go orange. You have the loudest colour available. You need those rims to carry the look. Will look amazing.

After seeing how good black looks I know it’s hard, but orange is just going to be on another level and truly unique. Just my opinion

Your a winner with either choice.

Sorry guys to disagree.... but I'd match the wheel color. The black lower break on the body with the black wheels looks "normal" to me. Color matching the ring with the main body looks "tacky". Then again, I'm an older traditionalist type...

It's the shape of the ring that sucks. Another forum member just did his black and made the wheels look a lot better. I think for how expensive this truck is, they could have had a nicer looking bead lock on there. Poor R and D in my opinion.

Well, I am guessing you think a bright orange truck is tacky too lol.

So far, I think orange is winning. Hopefully if a guy base coat clear coats it orange it will hold up. It's true some people are conservative. I remember the dodge truck that started my craziness...it was a (waldoch conversion) solar yellow 2001 ram...it's been alot of money not wisely spent since.. haha

Ram engineers will definitely go with the 3rd grader rendering for those rims. I hope you expect that suggestion check, soon!

I had a 2000 ram 1500 that was solar yet (hence my user name lol). First and only brand new vehicle that I specially ordered. Had it over 11 years...sure miss the ol girl.
