My Ram 1500 Classic has a lean. it leans 1 1/2" to the left if looking at the rear. Check front and front is good. Just my rear. From center of fender to ground.

Taking it back to the place I bought her from this Friday and let them look at her.

Other than that I'm very happy with my Ram... Love the power..... Getting between 17.5 and 20.6 mpg.
Not bad for a full size. I had a Tacoma that was getting 17 on a good day....

Pretty common issue. If not all most seem to lean. Even with empty fuel tank. Mine leans about an 1”.

My 17 had a 1/2" droop at the left rear. I used a half inch billet spring spacer under the spring to level it. Been there for a year with no issues.

That is most likely what I will do. But took 2020 Ram to the Dealership which I bought the truck and told the service manager what the problem was with "the Lean...." but she came back at me with its only a 1/4" off which we can't do nothing about that. I told her where I measured the Ram at and she came back to me with the same thing it only 1/4" off. I can measure from center of rear fender to the ground its 1 1/4 off on the left side. Well she said that when the truck carry a full tank of gas it will lean more... Can't believe that. But I will take it by a local dealership later this week. I will lwet you all know what they say.. This is one problem... lets get one thing fixed at a time!!

Hi @FTauto --

I saw that you were thinking about taking your vehicle in to another Ram dealer nearby for a second opinion. If you happen to need any additional support while working with them to get this concern addressed, please feel free to send our @RamCares team a private message. I hope your new dealer is able to get everything worked out for you!

I am not sure where you measured and sure you have the problem listed. I just want to add that when I looked at a couple Rams before I bought mine, I noticed that the gap from bumper to bottom of tailgate was almost always different from side to side. My current new truck was perfect.

Second thing is that I had a problem with my frame on my first ram. Dealership caused it to bend, long story but in the end what I found out was that every truck that's delivered is off a bit on the frame from corner to corner because of the way they strapped them down. there are brackets that are bolted to the frame and then the chains on the delivery trucks are ratcheted down which causes the frame to torque out. There is an acceptable amount that it can be off and this will be corrected with alignments but it could leave your truck not measuring the same from corner to corner down to the ground. I assume this delivery method still goes on today but not 100% sure although maybe it helps a bit

Where did you get the half inch billet spacer from. That maybe what I have to do.

Thanks FTauto

Hi RamCares I will let you know how I'm treated at this Ram Dealership.

Thanks FTauto

I took it to another Chysler ram dealership and the service manager said the same thing but we did go out and look at some other trucks he had on the lot. The truck that he took me too were a 1/2" off on either side, even went to look at a 4X4, the samething 1/2" off. Although the gentlemen I was dealing with said he would look into it and call me the following Monday. This was a week ago he was suppose to call. But he did not. But the problem still remains I paid nearly 40k for this truck it should ride and look right. Had a gentlemen who was listening in on our conversation ( I guess he was a mechanic) but he said the gas tank is on that side along with the steering box. I looked at him and said you think they would have done something about that before they sent any trucks out of Detroit!! I'm lost here....

Check the caster in the front end, too much cross caster will cause a chassis lean.

From the Thuren Fabrication website; On 2013+ 3500, 2014+ 2500, and 2014+ Power Wagons, these trucks have radius arms and the caster cams MUST remain very close to being in phase/mirrored/matching, driver side to passenger side. Even mild cross-caster adjusted in will make the truck lean to one side, and the handling will also suffer. Always loosen the upper radius arm bolt before making your cam adjustments. If you do play with some cross-caster on a radius arm truck, do so at your own risk, and watch the chassis lean.

@FTauto --

Sorry to hear that you were unable to resolve your concerns at your recent visit. If you'd like a Case Specialist to be assigned to work alongside your dealer while working towards a resolution, I can definitely look into that additional assistance! Please do not be afraid to reach out to our @RamCares team with any questions.

Well two Ram dealer I have taken my 2020 Ram 1500 Hemi. Just look at the truck and said they have a little lean in them anyway. I CAN'T AND WON'T BELEIVE THAT.
But hey just keep telling me that because this will be the last Ram I own.
