I just wanted to be different, so I REBADGED.

Took off all the badging and tastefully added some really nice PRIUS badges.

My truck no longer knew how to identify so I changed them all back.

OK, seriously, I say do want you want, you are the one paying the bills and having to be seen in it.

My 2016 Ram Big Horn was a factory order
When i first saw it, it looked like a raw New York Steak, that they call Delmonico Red, the damn thing is Maroon not Red.
I first saw it when it was at the dealership in the Prep Shop

I was so irritated that a couple weeks later, i made a few changes

I drove it home & parked it in front of the garage

Then i drove it to the Local Line-X shop & had the bed sprayed.
Then i drove it home & loaded up a few things

A few days later, the Ram looked like this

i personally think delmonico red is one of the nicest colors, not a raw steak, but everyone sees thing diff. but anyway, u bought a new truck, took it home and had it painted?

Yes i had it repainted, had Sport Bumpers put on it, changed the grille inserts & added tow hooks

When i ordered the Ram, no one had seen what Delmonico Red looked like, it was not in any books that the dealer had. I just saw the word Red, it should have said Maroon

They would not let anyone order Sport Bumpers on an Ecodiesel either.

I got a great deal when i bought the Ram, 1% below dealer invoice i think, Friends & Family Plan

Yes the paint job cost a bit more than $7,000

The guy that painted it is good, he often flies up to Los Angeles to do special jobs for West Coast Customs, you may have heard of them from the TV show

I had an excellent shop I used, but the owner passed away. His widow sold the shop and the new owner destroyed it.
typical situation. almost as bad as a business owner that worked their whole life to build it, retire, kids take over, goes belly up.

Kids take over and hire someone else to run it and they are off spending the money until there is no more money. I have seen that so many times. You have that original owner who never took a day off and the kids who never worked a day lol.

I’m debadging mine sometime in the next couple of months.

I decided to put black badges back on mine (delmonico red) it looks good with the black ones instead of the chrome badges.

I will probably get it paint corrected and ceramic coated before I put the black badges on

I like this, someone that is doing a real ceramic coating. It's pretty easy to tell the difference. When the paint is being corrected and perfected prior to the coating your getting the real deal. Because once its done, there is no going back to buff out scratches, ever.
There are so many imitators out there that charge a significant amount less than a real ceramic coating and don't do a whole lot more than put on a fancy wax.
When you have it done are you going to try and key the truck to test it out for that H9 hardness? Lol. I've been wanting to do the coating also and save my paint from all those limbs I encounter off road.
